• Plaza de España - For your convenience, door-to-door pickup is available throughout Tenerife. A 40-minute drive from Plaza de España brings us to our first stop in the heart of the Anaga mountains, where our adventure begins.
• Parque Rural de Anaga - Our journey continues for about 20 more minutes along a picturesque forest road. Before embarking on our hike, we will pause to admire the distinctive landscape of El Pijaral.

This region is marked by significant erosion and steep inclines, with deep ravines and nearly vertical cliffs. These rugged features have rendered the area nearly inaccessible for centuries, preserving its pristine natural resources. It is a true sanctuary where nature remains untouched.

• Las Montanas de Anaga - Our hike begins with an ascent along a specially maintained official trail. This path takes us deep into the ancient laurel forest while keeping us on the crest of the mountain ridge. Along this route, we will visit three breathtaking viewpoints, including a “secret spot” where solitude is guaranteed.

As we trek, we enter a botanical treasure trove. Over 40% of the species here are endemic to Macaronesia or Tenerife. The highlight is the Píjara, a majestic giant fern that gives the reserve its name. You will walk beneath a lush ‘Monteverde’ canopy of Hija, Til, and Viñátigo, nourished by moisture from the Trade Winds. Keep an eye out for the Bolle’s and Laurel pigeons, or even the Madeira pipistrelle—Tenerife’s native mammal. This is not just a hike; it is a journey back in time.

• Plaza de España - The return journey to the main square of Santa Cruz (Plaza de España) or the Cruise Pier typically takes no more than 1 hour from our final trail location.

Please be aware that if your tour began in the South or the far North of the island, additional travel time will be necessary to reach your final destination.
