Responsible and Unforgettable Marine Adventure - I had an absolutely incredible time with Raggy Charters - this was truly a highlight of my trip! We were lucky enough to see penguins, dolphins, seals, and even whales all in one outing. It was breathtaking to witness these beautiful animals in their natural environment. The crew was fantastic - super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. What really stood out to me was how accommodating they were with my dietary restrictions. It's rare to find a company that goes that extra mile, and it made a big difference in making me feel comfortable and cared for. I also really appreciated Raggy Charters' strong commitment to conservation. They operate with a deep respect for the environment and marine life, and it's clear they're not just offering tours-they're doing important work to protect our oceans. It's wonderful to support a company that is both eco-conscious and ethical.

Passionate, Professional Team & Incredible Wildlife in the 'Bottlenose Capital of the World' - I was lucky enough to join the Raggy Charters crew on a few of their trips, including the Whale, Dolphin & Penguin Island Cruise, Bird Island Cruise and Sardine Run Cruise and what can I say - the team and wildlife did NOT disappoint! Coined, "The Bottlenose Capital of the World" I was privileged to see literally hundreds of Indo Pacific Bottlenose dolphin performing different behaviors in Algoa Bay, surfing waves in front of sand dunes as well as travelling together in a big group on our last sunset trip. But they were not all - I was also treated to a number of other species, some I hadn't ever seen before, including Cetacean:- - the resident Bryde's whale - Long-Beaked Common Dolphin - Orca (Killer Whale) - the elusive Humpback dolphin Pinniped:- - Cape Fur Seal Fish:- - Mola mola (sun fish) - Juvenile Hammerhead shark - Unidentified breaching shark in the distance Bird:- - Cape Penguins - Cape Gannets - Cormorants - Terns - Petrels - Shuas - Sherwaters - the wonderful Albatross Now, if you're reading this please note, I did NOT see all of these animals on one trip! The best chance to see marine wildlife is when you've out by or on the water, so you gotta be there, be patient (they don't come when called), wrap up warm (if the boat plans to move with any speed) and keep one eye on the water (if you can!) as much as you can, looking out for distinctive splashes, blows, fins or feathers! The small but mighty team of Raggy Charters are incredible, passionate, knowledgeable conservationists trying to make a difference in Algoa Bay and it's surrounding waters. They are made up of: Karen - although I didn't get the pleasure to meet her in person, she was ever attentive and the driving force of organisation and communication for Raggy Charters! Thank you for booking me on quite the number of trips! Lloyd - the charming chap who started it all Jake - the musical, keen spotting skipper and manager Purity - the super caring, enthusiastic and informative head guide Keith - the kind, chatty smiling spotter and skipper Sean - the supportive rollercoaster rider, spotter and skipper Thuba - my good luck charm and joyful guide Thank you to the crew for sharing the wonderful wildlife of your home and making my trip(s!) unforgettable!

Wonderful trip, we saw it all!!! - Wonderful trip and crew. Easy last minute booking, able to pay online, and easy to find at the marina. Saw everything in the description, including penguins, dolphins, a seal and a whale. They did a good job of getting us right in the action among all of these (including penguins that were hunting in the water). The boat size is great to allow everyone to see it all. They even stayed out about an hour longer than planned because of a last minute whale who swam with the boat as we were heading in. 🙏❤️

Welcoming the whales sunrise tour. - Great experience, didn’t realise how informative it would be. My kids loved it too, awesome memories made. We saw lots of dolphins, some penguins, and lazy seals, but unfortunately no whales.

A must do experience in Port Elizabeth - An unforgettable experience! Jake and the team at Raggy Charters were amazing from start to finish — professional, friendly, and so passionate about the ocean. We saw dolphins, sea lions, endangered penguins, and even humpback whales. One of the best experiences we’ve had in South Africa — highly recommend!

Fantastic!! - We highly recommend this trip and Raggy Charters. The organisation pre trip was excellent - we were on a longer tour of South Africa booked through a different company, so it was very reassuring to receive comms from Karen ahead of the trip so we knew where we were going when we were expected etc. The actual trip itself met all expectations, which were very high to start. We felt safe, welcomed and comfortable at all times. We were a 3 generation family and all of us were made to feel included throughout. We were lucky enough to see bottle nose dolphins, penguins, seals, and humpback whales!! The guys on the boat were fantastic- educating us and making sure we got the best views, whilst always putting the wildlife first. If we are lucky enough to be in this area again we will definitely book another trip.
