Rethymno cruise with Karina boat - I had an absolutely amazing experience on my cruise with Karina Catamaran and Captain Anestis( John and Nena also). From the moment we stepped on board, everything was perfect — the boat was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Captain Anestis was not only highly skilled and professional, but also incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome and relaxed throughout the trip. It was truly an unforgettable day at sea, and I can’t recommend Karina Catamaran and Captain Anestis (with his crew) highly enough. I would love to sail with them again!

Fantastic cruise, amazing crew and incredible food & drinks - Right away when boarding the captain and his two crew members took great care of all guests on the boat. We got a thorough briefing on all safety precautions, where to find everything on the boat and the planned route just as soon as everyone had boarded. All of the crew were very attentive to all of the needs of all of the passengers, and they made the entire trip amazing. They were friendly, talkative and made sure to socialise with all the guests. The location we stopped at for swimming and lunch was beautiful, and the food served was incredible. We left well fed and far from thirsty. Our biggest thanks, Andreas & Sara

Lack of care and empathy. - We booked a cruise for our family two adults and a 13-year-old child. The cruise has been postponed due to rough sea condition but then went ahead as soon as it was possible to sail (1 metre waves). That made the trip very rough. Our daughter who was sailing for the first time in her life started feeling seasick. The crew has initially offered some rubbish bags and paper towels. Unfortunately, as the cruise progressed our daughter was becoming more and more unwell. The crew didn’t check on us and had to be called each time. At the first stop we decided that it unsafe for us to continue as our daughter became very unwell. We requested to disembark. We were told that it’s not possible and that the settlements are not connected to any roads. The crews advise for our daughter was to swim because that will make her feel better. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After floating for a while in the water she wanted to rest a little bit on a deck and unfortunately got sick again. The bags provided by the crew started leaking and the deck hand became visibly annoyed and angry that he needs to clean the spillage. He told our daughter who was feeling even weaker to return to the sea and stay there as it will make her feel better. For the entire time at the first stop our daughter was told to stay in rough waters and hold on to paddling board. As the situation was getting more serious, we decided to find some way to resolve the crisis and swam to the shore to ask local people for help. They were kind enough to offer us help and ordered a taxi. In the meantime, the crew was only concerned about the cleanliness of the deck and their declared passenger’s list. We were told that they can’t help us and if we want, we can swim to the shore. After telling them that our daughter was unable to swim as she is exhausted from all the sea sickness and floating in the water we were mocked by the deck-hand who said that the distance to shore is short and anyone can do it. When we have finally decided to disembark we were given two rubbish bags for our things and a loan of a paddling board to transport our daughter who at this stage was unable to stand up. When boarding the paddling board the deck-hand has almost thrown our possessions at our daughter, nearly hitting her in the head and had to be stopped by a local lady and her partner (who both swam over from the shore to help us out). We had to swim and push the paddling board with our daughter and things through the choppy sea to land safely. Thankfully the local people helped. The crew on the other hand didn’t do anything although they had a motorised dinghy attached to the boat. They didn’t care about the wellbeing of our daughter, nor they offered to arrange any transport. When we landed on the shore, we were given a lift up the hill by local people, where a taxi which they ordered previously was waiting for us. The crew didn’t do anything to help us out. The deck hand who was dealing with us had a serious attitude problem and completely lacked any empathy. The captain has only checked our names against boarding manifesto and the host wasn’t helpful in any way. Lastly, we have never heard from the tour organizer and nobody even bothered to check if we’re ok. We disembarked in the middle of nowhere in an emergency situation and they didn’t even offer a phone call or a text message. The only thing that they were concerned about was the boarding list and cleanliness of a deck which could have been rinsed with a single bucket of water. Overall, it was horrible experience which could have been avoided if the crew offered a little bit of compassion.
