• Leeward - Leeward Beach, also known as Sunset Beach or Pelican Beach, is one of the most stunning beaches on Providenciales and is the habitat of the Brown Pelican, the national bird of the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is an excellent spot for snorkeling, collecting seashells, and is a prime location for clear kayak photoshoots. Take a moment to enjoy the scavenger hunt, search for shells, and observe the Brown Pelican while appreciating the beauty of this beach.
• Long Bay Beach - The next stop on the beach tour and scavenger hunt is Long Bay Beach, renowned for some of the best kiteboarding in the Caribbean. The Tiki Bar is a popular local spot where visitors can unwind and enjoy a refreshing coconut while watching kite surfers glide over the clear, shallow waters or take a swim. The scavenger hunt continues as participants uncover hidden items around them. This southern part of the island is breezy with very low tides, making it enjoyable for families and children of all ages.
• Long Bay Hills - At this stop, visitors will explore The Hole, a naturally formed limestone sinkhole known as a cenote, located in Long Bay Hills. It measures approximately 50 feet in diameter and about 60 feet deep to the brackish water below, with an additional 25 feet of depth beneath the water’s surface on the northern side. The semi-tidal nature of The Hole indicates a partial connection to the ocean or nearby marine ponds of Juba Sound. This geological site is truly fascinating and should be approached with caution. This is the final chance in the scavenger hunt to find items before reaching the treasure chest.
