• Faithful Hands Farm - Operating a homestead farm involves numerous activities that are both educational and engaging for adults and children. The farm cultivates a variety of fruits, berries, vegetables, and flowers. Depending on the season, visitors might see vegetable starts in the greenhouse, grown from seeds, alongside flowers and herbs. Each year, the farm expands and enhances its offerings. The livestock raised on the property includes cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, livestock guardian dogs, bees, turkeys, ducks, geese, and chickens. During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to interact with smaller animals, feed and pet them, and learn about their roles on the farm. The tour guide is an experienced educator with the Washington State Fair Traveling Farm and has extensive farming and gardening experience. Visitors can expect to move from pasture to pasture with the farmer/guide, who will explain the care and purpose of the animals encountered. Questions are encouraged. Experiences may include, but are not limited to, exploring vegetable and cutting flower gardens, witnessing animal births, milking goats, collecting eggs, feeding animals, sampling crops, and much more.

In the past, visiting a family member’s farm was common, but those days have passed. At our homestead and working farm, visitors can discover and learn about the origins of their food. There is an opportunity to engage with the animals we care for, assist in bottle-feeding their young, and explore the gardens. Our animals include cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, livestock guardian dogs, bees, and various poultry. The gardens feature cutting flowers, vegetables, herbs, a greenhouse, berry patches, and fruit trees.
