- Atarfe - Discover an extraordinary subterranean world just outside Granada! Descend into a mystical setting that few have the chance to experience. This stunning cave is nestled between the historic regions of the Spanish Civil War, the Cubillas marsh, and the Parapanda, Elvira, and Sierra Nevada mountains.
Participants will be collected from the Granada city center and transported to the charming town of Atarfe. Upon arrival, they will meet their guide and become acquainted with the necessary equipment. No prior caving experience or technical skills are required, as the guide will provide all the essential instructions.
The adventure begins with a hike over rocky terrain to reach the entrance of the Cogollos Cave. Here, the journey involves rappelling, sliding, and maneuvering through some narrow passageways. Participants can proceed at their own pace, assured by the constant supervision of an instructor throughout the expedition. Along the way, they will be captivated by views of stalactites, stalagmites, and rugged rock formations. This underground wonderland continually fascinates its adventurers.
After the cave exploration, participants will enjoy a soothing tea or coffee accompanied by muffins and snacks before being returned to the city center.
