It is a path where hanging bridges are crossed and, little by little, you discover what this special route hides, as well as its incredible views, waterfalls and tunnels. This path will take you through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Andalusia.
Important information: On this path you need skill and agility, since there are narrow sections and places where you have to walk crouched.
Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Great experience, had a lot of fun. The Guide was very experienced and spoke in English - Will need non slip shoes, water and sun hat .
The hike went at a good pace with rest periods when needed

Such a great way to get away from the city & experience the beautiful mountains of southern Spain - This was such an amazing hike! Our guide was so friendly, had walking poles for everyone, informative, & passionate. It was so nice to get away from the city for a little bit and see the Sierra Nevada. The hike was scenic and not too strenuous, at some points we had to crouch and scoot along on our butt which was so fun & welcomed by us because we love a good adventure. I just feel like it would be good to know in case anyone with limited mobility is thinking about the hike. Also, our tour guide took photos of everyone with a legit camera and now we have such good, crisp memories of the trip to share. 10/10 would recommend!

Great evening hike in Sierra Nevada - This was a fantastic early evening hike through a Gorge, across suspension bridges and upwards to great views. Our guide Emile was very informative, highly recommended

Beautiful hike - Very nice hike of the cahorros de monachil! Beautiful scenery! Emilio our guide speaks Spanish, English and French very well. Pleasant time spent with him with a touch of humor. He was very considerate with everyone. I highly recommend this experience

Unforgettable Hiking Adventure with Julio – Highly Recommended! - We had the absolute pleasure of joining Julio for the “Hiking in the Canyon of the Monachil Cubs” tour in May 2025 and it was truly the highlight of our trip to Granada!
From the very start, Julio was warm, welcoming, and incredibly organized. He made sure we felt comfortable, regardless of hiking experience. His passion for the region and deep knowledge of the Sierra Nevada really shone through as he shared fascinating facts about the landscape, local plants, wildlife, and locals along the way.
The hike itself was the perfect balance of adventure and stunning scenery. We crossed hanging bridges, navigated fun narrow passages, and enjoyed breathtaking views at every turn. Julio was always attentive, offering a helping hand when needed and ensuring we could enjoy the experience at their own pace.
One of the best parts was that Julio took fantastic photos throughout the hike and sent them to us afterwards; such a thoughtful touch that allowed us to truly soak in the moment without worrying about our cameras.
Julio’s friendly, positive energy made the whole day even more enjoyable. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate; Julio is an outstanding guide who will make your visit to Granada unforgettable. Thank you, Julio, for an amazing adventure!

Wonderful way to spend a morning - The tricky parts of the track are not too bad. I was nervous in case things got more challenging- but they didn’t and were all very manageable. The hike is really beautiful, combing river, bush and views from spectacular rock high points. Guide fantastic at ensuring everyone felt safe and enjoying the hike. Thanks Emile

A Fun Hike - We are a fit and able family and needed to be to complete the hike. Some areas are tight and you overhang the river whilst using hand holds. It was really good fun though and Emile provided some interesting information. We did the late hike starting at 17:00 and it was still very hot in June.

A nice walk as long as you dont have balence issues - We enjoyed our walk through this interesting area near Granada. Not too challenging, the area was more rural rather than pristine, unspoilt, wilderness. As such the waterway had numerous weeds amongst the native plants but was pleasant none the less. One word of warning, the walk along the river would not be advised if you don’t have a reasonable level of balence as it requires hugging around some walls, crawling under overhanging rock and walking on a thin track.
