Perfect day hiking down into the Grand Canyon - We did a half-day sunset hike with Kevin--who was outstanding. He was kind, funny, very knowledgeable. We would absolutely recommend him and this company anytime. Everything was taken care of--all we had to do was show up, hike, and enjoy the amazing views. The weather was perfect and late afternoon was definitely the way to go. Absolutely book this hike if you are thinking of going down into the canyon!

Only Grand Canyon means "ONLY"!! No others. - Fabulous hike down South Kaibab trail with Kevin as our guide. This outfitter is top shelf. Lifetime memory.

Jon was excellent and the... - Jon was excellent and the views were more than we could have imagined. Guidance was above and beyond and the views were definitely worth the hike. Great photos too!!

Awesome time great... - Awesome time great adventure.i came here from Florida and did not expect the experience I had my wife and me are definitely going to come back with the kids next year.highly recommend Kevin as the tour guide.

AMAZING HIKE!! - Jon exceeded our expectations for our guided hike. From his quick response to my initial request and welcoming conversation, he had me hooked. His preparedness on the day of the hike, providing us with the poles (which are a must!), a backpack filled with water and Gatorade and a Ziplock gallon bag full of all things carbs to our delicious dinner at Skeleton Point – you don’t have to think about anything except focusing on a momentous hike which indeed it was. His friendliness, positivity and motivation were uplifting throughout our six-hour journey. Did I mention the pictures that John took of us – OMG!! I’m so glad I stumbled upon someone else’s review of Only Grand Canyon Day Hikes and took a chance because Jon truly made it a “Hike of a Lifetime” for me and my husband and for that we are truly grateful. To be in the middle of the Canyon with such beauty around you is a memory we will never forget. Thank you, Jon!!

Perfection hosted by Kevin and Christy - Kevin and Christy were amazing! Well prepared, incredibly knowledgeable, very personable…so genuine and authentic. I LOVED that they were an engaged couple! Would love to see wedding pictures. They maneuvered seemlessly among our group members between the ages of 9 to 70 and everyone in between. They were so patient with the 9-year-old’s questions and Nana’s need for frequent rest breaks. The food was amazing! The snack bags were over-the-top perfect! These two people made this adventure “perfect” in the truest sense of the word. We were truly blessed by them and this experience.

Yes we CANyon!!! Hire them NOW! - I’m not sure there are words I can use to describe how amazing our experience was. It truly beat all expectations! From the first check in with owner John describing our day, talking through options, and making recommendations for our family to enjoy the other days we would be in the area; to meeting up with Kevin and Christy the day of the hike and oh my lands - what an adventure we will never forget. These two truly love the canyon and their jobs and it showed. Their enthusiasm was contagious. When they say they have everything you’ll need - believe them. (We are still eating off the amazing snack bags two days later!!). They work at your pace and abilities and whether you do 1 mile or 10 miles… they make sure it’s magical and you leave with your heart, soul, and body full! By the time we left them, I felt like they were part of our family. Another thing we would recommend is late Aug - Sept for weather. It was warm at times but the night time was absolutely perfect!
Giving an idea of the dynamic in our family - we were a party of 6 with ages ranging from 9 to 70 years old. We aren’t particularly as active as we should be and I was a little nervous going into this adventure. Kevin and Christy worked together to ensure everyone was safe and having a good time. Took as many breaks as needed - especially on the way back up - and kept conversations, Grand Canyon facts and stories (even if some of them were old liar legends), and some sing alongs through the adventure. (Not required but helped with distractions during the hard times.) Oh and the photos you will get! Kevin is a wizard with the panos and amazing family/canyon photos.
The icing on the cake was when my 9-year-old was struggling and done at the end (his body on eastern time zone, he had pushed himself through every step, and it was dark) but we still had about 20 mins left up to the rim - Kevin and Christy we’re supportive, patient, encouraging, and helped everyone make it through. He was inconsolable but that didn’t stop them from trying! So amazing! I literally could use all 20k characters to brag on these two but I’m sure people have already stopped reading. LOL. I would literally hire them on each and every hike we ever do. I hope they stop by when they get a chance to make it out to the Smoky Mountains one day!
