An eventful tour with consideration for the animals! - The visitors were divided into small groups among the boats and the skippers were very friendly and dedicated. The dolphin and whale watching did not resemble a rush, as is the case with some other tours. The animals were respected, which is very important to us personally. We were lucky, saw sperm whales and were allowed to swim with dolphins - an absolutely unique experience!

Stunning morning out at sea! 🐬🐋🐠 - Stunning morning out at sea! 🐬🐋🐠Saw a huge pod of Spinner dolphins, also bottle-nose dolphins and took a long trip out to see sperm whales, breaching etc on way back snorted on the reef….. it was stunning! Our boat respected distance of marine life but sadly others did not as people desperate to get so close to swim with dolphins and whales! Extremely bumpy ride!

Great! - A team with little care we rented a boat to go swimming with dolphins and observe sperm whales.... A memorable encounter, 10 sperm whales including a 700kg baby “Eliot” anyway ... and a few months It was fantastic.... Swimming with dolphins was also exceptional ... Then the Île aux Benigniers for lunch. The place for snorkling would be the only flat surrounded by a horde of boats and bof funds to see I'm sure we could have had better. In any case I recommend for respect towards marine mammals this company!

A beautiful and memorable experience - Very enjoyable morning out at sea meeting whales and dolphins. Dolswin are a well known, organisation specialising in ethical experiences, and this was clear. As other boats were happy to allow large numbers of people to jump into the water with the Dolphins, Dolswin are really mindful of the animals and limit the number of people who go in the water (due to smaller boats) and limit the time people spend in the water too. Boats from other companies are not so respectful. This more even more obvious when encountering the whales. We found 3 sperm whales and carefully navigated around them - allowing them to swim by closely but without us interfering (we were asked to be quiet where near them). We were not permitted to swim with the whales. Again, other boats were happy for people to jump in. To be clear - this is distressing for the whales and NOT permitted by the Mauritian authorities. They offer soft drinks on board and the 2 crew were kind and helpful. Snorkeling gear is provided for those wishing to get into the water when instructed by the crew. But there's no pressure to get in. You can quite easily sit safely on the boat and still enjoy the nature. The jetty where you embark/disembark the boat has no facilities so make sure you visit the toilet before arriving. There was a small marine toilet on board but I would suggest it is only to be used if you're desperate. One note: for our experience, we were back on dry land by 10:30 (not 12:00 as advertised). But I guess that was because we didn't have to spend too long trying to find both the whales and the dolphins 😁 As I mentioned, you are limited as to how long you are around the whales and dolphins. Overall, a beautiful and memorable experience.

Ethical Whale Watching & experiences for a lifetime - We were lucky to observe a female sperm whale but unfortunately our tour was the only boat there which respected the whale and didn’t jump into the water. Was very sad to see so many people getting so close to the whale and even touching it at times. Then we were able to get in the water with dolphins which was truly the most amazing experience and I can highly recommend booking this tour with Dolswim! The boat was also super comfortable, we weren’t many people on ours luckily and our captain Vince was really good

Responsible whale watching and dolphin experience + snorkeling - Went in mid october. The tour starts early, but that is for a reason. Had a clear instructions before the trip. We had 2 skippers, both were very professional. We were lucky, whales were spotted after 1 hr of searching. And then we spotted them a couple of more times. It is illegal no swim with whales, however a lot of people from other boats do that. I hope that Mauritius government will introduce hefty fines for them and will control it better. The swimmers were scaring the whales away... Then we did spot quite a lot of dolphins groups and there was a chance to snorkel with them, but, it was pretty busy from other boats, so was a bit chaotic. Finally, arrived at the Coral reef, where it was very silent, only 2 boats, so we had a great snorkel experience there. Trip took a bit shorter than planned, because we were lucky to find all the creatures quick, but everyone was asked whether that is okay. Overall, very nice, responsible, seen the great creatures. I wish that other boats and people would have the same level of responsibility. The only drawback - the boarding location has no toilet.

Great trip, worth every penny - We had a great crew, saw sperm whales and then spinner dolphins, and could swim with dolphins, then a snorkel at the reef, with beautiful fishes. Great trip. I would recommend.
