Absolutely wonderful, one of the best experiences ever! - If you are interested in the underground as I am and especially disused tube stations then this is heaven. Having had my appetite whetted by the TV programme Secrets of the London Underground I've longed to follow in the presenters' footsteps. Aldwych was my first such tour and it won't be my last, it's atmospheric and thrilling to be in a tube station closed for 30 years and which I haven't set foot in for about 40 years. The guides were friendly, informative and clearly love what they do so a big thanks to all three of them. This was just staggeringly wonderful and I can't praise it highly enough!

Fascinating and educational - I took a teenage family member on this tour, he’s been wanting to do it for many years and is now old enough to- 12 years old. This station is frozen in time. Very educational to hear the guides talk about how the station was used as a shelter in the wars. Interesting to hear about how the station has been used for filming TV, movies and videos for music tracks. (The Prodigy and The Kinks) We later visited the TFL transport museum in Covent Garden and upon production of the tour ticket we only paid half price. Under 17’s entry is free. Nearest Tube is the Piccadilly line (Dark Blue). Will definitely be doing the other ghost station tours too.

Fascinating tour of an abandoned tube station - Had a great time on the hidden tour of Aldwych station. A fascinating glimpse of a tube station frozen in time. Our tour guides, Sophie and Philip were engaging, informative and friendly. The tour covered lots of different aspects of the stations life - how/why it was built, what the early underground system was like and how it was used for other reasons during wartime and for filming. Highly recommended. I am keen to do more of the hidden tours.

Intriguing look into a disused tube station - An intriguing look into a station that never hit its stride, and no longer appears on the London Underground map. Once a one-stop spur off the Piccadilly line, the station has been out of public use since 1994. Built at a time when costs were already being cut, it’s not as ornate as many of London’s older stations, but thanks to the ongoing lack of passengers (and safety upgrades being economically unviable), many original details (like wooden lifts and 1900’s train tracks) remain. The vintage posters throughout were interesting, and a selection of video clips and sound recordings shown during the tour brought the past to life. It was also fascinating to learn of the station’s many different uses over the decades. The only disappointment was not having better access to the whole of the ticket hall. An old concertina gate cordoned off much of this area. Our informative guides, Emma & Tommy, were passionate about sharing the station’s history, which added to the enjoyment of the experience. After the tour we were emailed a handy booklet containing old architectural drawings, historical photographs and the interesting facts that were discussed during the tour. This is the only ‘Hidden London’ station we’ve visited (chosen because we’d left our booking too late and choices were limited), but we’d definitely visit more of these Hidden London stations next time around.

Aldwych Tube Station tour - The tour itself was interesting and enjoyable. Finding the station less so. An actual address would be helpful as Google Maps does not indicate the correct location. I was lucky that one of the guides heard me knocking on the after the tour had begun.
