Best of Bowie - Grant, our guide was excellent. At the very beginning he learned our interests and incorporated them throughout the tour. It was great to start in Brixton to see where David Jones grew up and began his passion for music and then continue on to highlights of his career as David Bowie. Grant followed up with a email recapping everything we had seen. We had an open day the following day and Grant shared some wonderful suggestions, a little off the beaten path, that we never would have found on our own. Our Viator experience has been excellent, but Grant took it to the next level.

Bowie and much more - What an amazing walking tour! Bringing David Bowie to life from his birth in Brixton to all the key places in Soho that shaped his career. Grant’s knowledge not only of Bowie but also the music scene and other icons of the time is phenomenal, and we loved joy he takes in sharing. Great for Bowie Devotees or anyone interested in the London music scene in the 70’s and beyond. Highly recommend.

Great Bowie Tour - I had an excellent tour with Grant. I had been on London Rock n Roll tours before but learned so much more and saw much different things on this tour. First off starting in Brixton, where I wouldn’t have gone otherwise, was a nice change of pace seeing where Bowie grew up. Soho was an easy subway ride away. Grant was knowledgeable, adapted to what I was interested in, and overall had a great time.

Wonderful walk through London and the history of David Bowie! 😃👍🏻 - My tour guide was Grant and the tour with him was just absolutely brilliant from start to finish! 🙏🏻 I had such a great time and I would definitely do this tour again anytime. I would also like to do another tour with him as my guide in the future if possible.👍🏻 All the information he gave me were super exciting and really expanded my previous knowledge, which was so much fun! 😃 From start to finish he was very nice, patient with all my questions and really individually addressed me and my personal knowledge about Bowie. He also made the tour really interesting and varied with so much passion, joy and personal references.☺️ The time passed by so quickly, the whole experience was very pleasant for me and it just felt like having a relaxed walk and chat with another Bowie admirer on equal terms. Thank you again for that!🙏🏻 I can only warmly recommend this amazing tour to everyone who is a Bowie enthustiast and also enjoys diving deeper into the story of his life, with elements of the circumstances of his childhood, as well as the start of his creativity, first steps in the music industry and musical work in general.

More than just a Bowie tour - Our tour guide, Grant, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Bowie specifically and the London music scene generally. Far exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend. Grant also followed up with an email including the locations and information covered on the tour, additional links and websites, and suggestions for other things to do on our trip. Grant went above and beyond. Thank you, Grant!

Just book it - Long story short, my 3.5-days stay in London wouldn’t be as gorgeous without Grant’s David Bowie Golden Year tour. It provided a unique dimension to explore the city where the Starman was born, struggled and become a super – all through Grant’s lovely guide. It’s absolutely impressive and lucky to have one’s lifelong habit being converted into 2 hours walking tour (and actually more than that), of which embraced stories and places where happened. Grant is so informative with tremendous knowledge on David Bowie and he never hold back. I particularly like the lifelong friendship between George Underwood and David Bowie – his story with David Bowie was mentioned from Stockwell Primary, Brixton to Trident Studios in SOHO. It was like the thread that runs through the whole journey which brings more depth of time. I am quite a new fan to David, and I really have experienced more than expected through this tour. The pure adore was expressed through generations and ages. Participating Grant’s tour could be one of the best ways to read the texture of a Starman’s life and his footprints in the great city. Highly recommended.

David Bowie - all that you need to know - Our tour guide Grant was very knowledgeable and also incredibly enthusiastic about the subject -David Bowie. We were very fortunate to be in a small group (only 4 of us) so there was time for lots of chat and questions. I learnt so much about David Bowie’s life. A must do for Bowie fans - We had an incredible afternoon on our tour with Grant. He shared so many facts and stories about Bowie that we hadn’t heard before. His love of Bowie and music in general made this one of the best guided tours we have ever done. From seeing where Bowie lived as a small child to where he hung out, recorded and performed, to getting to recreate the album cover of Ziggy Stardust if you’re a fan of David Bowie this tour is an absolute must!
