Good for an overview, but not enough time in the Cotswolds. - Two quick stops in Cotswolds villages, not enough time to contemplate the beauty of the place. We spent more time at Oxford and it was worth it. It is a quick tour, good for a glimpse of these beautiful places, but not good for those who want to fully enjoy the Costswolds. Daisy was a lovely guide, very nice and caring.

Cotswalds and Oxford trip - We had a great tour of the Cotwolds Villages and Oxford. Flossy, our tour guide, and our bus driver, Robert were great. Both the Cotswalds villages (Burford and Bourton on the water) were awesome. Some of them were built in the 11th century. Oxford was spectacar!! Viator said the tour starts at 8AM. However, the bus started 15 minutes earlier at 745AM outside Gloucester Road station. So, be well before start time else bus will leave without you.

Nice change of scenery from London - My family (husband, 2 sons) and I had 3 days in London. I booked this trip because we didn’t rent a car, and I thought it would be too hard to experience the Cotswolds by train, but I really wanted them to experience the beauty of the English countryside. The added bonus that I hadn’t really anticipated was getting all of the context, stories and history from a tour guide which really brought the experience to life. Flossy, our guide, was extremely cheerful, personable and knowledgeable. I learned so much about the region, particularly Oxford. My only feedback would be maybe a little more time in Burton-on-water and a little less in Oxford. We were rushing to see everything in the former, and we would have enjoyed a more relaxed pace, and the ability to sit for a tea or a beer there. But overall, I’m glad we did it, and it was great to arrive back in London early enough (around 6) to continue touring there.

We had beautiful weather... - We had beautiful weather for our scenic drive to the villages in the Cotswolds. We were visiting in April, so the crowds weren’t as bad as they might be in the summer. We enjoyed the trip.

Spectacular trip, but I need more Cotswolds! - The views were amazing, the history was spectacular, and our tour guide Flossy was so likable. Oxford was a gorgeous area to explore and the Cotswolds by far my favorite part of my entire England trip (first time). However, I do feel that it is worth mentioning that although it is a 10 hour day, you really only spend about 2 hours at the Cotswold villages. We stopped in Burford for about 40 minutes and although it’s a small town, we could’ve done double that time and would’ve preferred it. Same with Bourton-on-the-water, we spent an hour and a half there but it’s definitely a town you want at least several hours in. It’s too spectacular and gorgeous to spend an hour and a half in. In the future we would likely rent a car to spend an entire day just in the cotswolds. That said, I understand the logistics of travel time and fitting in a larger city like Oxford so it’s not a mark against the tour, just personal preferences. Overall, it was absolutely worth the money!
