10 out of 10 - I don't ordinarily leave reviews but felt driven to do so in this case on account of how fantastic this tour was. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and her manner engaging throughout. She also took no prisoners, dealing swiftly and professionally with the one tool in our group who thought it hilarious to regularly interject with his own comedic observations. I also feel that the the manner in which the tour was delivered was respectful towards the deceased rather than exploiting the subject matter for entertainment value. Finally, I feel that it really brought to life Whitechapel in the late nineteenth century, touching upon the historical events that had shaped the area as well as the nuances of life everyday life for its poorer residents. My only disappointment was not managing thank the guide in person due to everyone dispersing all too quickly at the end of the tour. If you are reading this dear guide, thank you!

Gripping - Booked this tour last minute as going crazy indoors on a freezing cold January. Celine led the tour and she was amazing, she used no microphone but we could all hear her clearly and the images she showed illustrated her points very clearly. The tour lasted 2 hours 15 minutes and on a freezing cold night when at end our feet had lost all warmth and our fingers could no longer be felt, we lost no concentration and stayed connected by Celine's compelling narration. All four of us were gripped ages 19-60. After we headed back to Brick Lane having spotted some very tempting restaurants, an ideal way to warm up after. Highly recommend this tour a great way to see parts of London that I rarely have chance to visit. Around 15 on this tour.

Excellent tour - An excellent Jack the Ripper tour from start to finish. Jenny was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly an expert not just about the murders themselves, but about the wider social history of Whitechapel at the time. She brought the area to life, explaining the conditions people lived in, and the environment in which the crimes took place. It genuinely felt like stepping back into Victorian London. Informative, engaging, and expertly delivered. Highly recommended.

History comes to life - A very informative walk around the streets of Whitechapel on the quest to unmask "Jack the ripper", I recommend doing the walk in the evening to give it atmosphere of what it was like in those dark evenings in Whitechapel, Jenny was very knowledgeable in the subject and gave her theories backed up with evidence , was a nice walk around the back streets of Whitechapel to Thanks Jen :)

Fantastic experience - I bought my husband this tour for his birthday as he loves all these type of things, I came along with him as it was for two people, no real previous knowledge of Jack of the ripper other than the standard I was not fully looking forward to tagging along HOWEVER I throughly enjoyed all the whole experience, came away with so much knowledge, our tour guide was Lindsay and from the start to finish she kept us fully engaged, she played the part brilliantly being theatrical, enthusiastic and engaging. She really made the whole experience that extra bit more real. A experience we are so glad we did :)

Great informational evening - My daughter loves all things history and Jack the Ripper is at the top of the list. We did the tour with Jenny on Friday night and it was a great experience. I have grown up around Bricklane but learnt a lot that evening and it was a huge talking point on the way home, a win when you have teenagers on social media all the time! Jenny had a lot of knowledge, answered questions and took us on a stroll…. we also believe Jenny’s suggestion oh who Jack the Ropper could be most the likely so we are team butcher! I would recommend the trip…. we are going to book Sweeny Todd next! Thanks Jenny

Best Jack the Ripper tour! - Jenny is the best tour guide for this topic! She is extremely knowledgeable about the era, the location and Jack of course. Jenny delivered the content in a super confident way with great visual aids. I enjoyed the 2h way better than I expected. Jenny knows everyone in the area and even gave us a recommendation for a curry on Brick lane afterwards. Don’t hesitate to book!

Highly recommended Ripper walking tour! - Highly recommended. Jenny is an excellent guide - she gives really interesting historical and social context. She illustrates her narrative with photos on a large iPad, and I particularly liked that she has photos of the gravestones/memorials of the murder victims. The start of the walk is particularly evocative, walking along a street whose cobbles haven’t changed since Jack the Ripper’s time. Jenny is clearly a popular local guide, with friends all along Brick Lane. Book her tour - you won’t be disappointed!
