- The London Dungeon - The London Dungeon offers a uniquely thrilling experience that transports visitors back to the city’s most dangerous history. Encounter the chillingly entertaining characters of the ‘bad old days’ as they come to life before your eyes. Enter Sweeney Todd’s notorious barber shop on Fleet Street and let him give your life a “short back and sides.” Then, proceed cautiously through the streets of Whitechapel, where Jack the Ripper might be lurking just around the corner… You might think you’re safe after that, but there’s also the matter of the Plague, a vengeful Henry VIII and his Executioner, and the Torturer who would really like you to talk.
Afterwards, you’ll be judged for your crimes (guilty, of course) and sent to Newgate Prison to face the gallows!
If you happen to survive all of that, you’ll conclude your adventure with a visit to the Dungeon Tavern; catch up on the latest gossip with the locals!

- The London Dungeon is not suitable for people of a nervous disposition or children under the age of 12: entry is at the discretion of the parent/guardian. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to enter The London Dungeon.
- Please note: Once the lead passenger name has been added this cannot be changed. Please bring a form of identification that matches the Lead Traveller name on your ticket, with you on the day of your visit, as this may be checked before entry is allowed

- Please note: The Dungeon tour is run in English to cater to the vast majority of visitors. Non-English speakers will still be able to enjoy the sensory nature of the tours but may not experience the attraction in the same way as those proficient in English.

Great day out! - Amazing! The actors are incredible and the setup is fantastic. My youngest at 8 was a bit scared and probably would have been better a few years older but our teenager loved it despite the horror, really enjoyable experience. Would definitely go back again! There is a ride at the end but you have to be 1.4m tall so worth baring in mind.

Excellent theatrics & Great Family Fun. - Excellent, thoroughly entertaining & Fun experience for whole family ( inc teenager ).
Booked admission along with London Eye ticket & definitely worth the money. Lengthy visit & welcome break from the harsh February wind & rain.
The staff were brilliant & made the whole experience like nothing we’ve done before. Theatrics are fantastic & well worth every penny ( Tesco vouchers ) spent.
Would recommend if your looking for a fun break from sightseeing as easy access next to London eye.

Fantastic experience. - I went on Sunday 23rd February 2025. I was petrified but absolutely loved it. The actors are brilliant and you really do get scared a few times. There was too many good bits but I loved the torture chamber, Miss Lovetts Pie shop and then Sweeney Todd’s barber shop. The barber shop scene was the best. You really think he is in there with you. The drop ride at the end was amazing. I will be coming again however with friends so I can latch on to someone haha

Worth a visit even in holidays was good and well managed - Excellent activity one of the best Merlin attractions we booked

Brilliant - Absolutely brilliant . Entertaining, scary and great fun in equal measure. The effects used were imaginative and provided the extra immersive elements of a superb entertaining show. Worth every penny

Solo Girl Travels!! - The London Dungeon was so much fun!! I went by myself but was with a big group of tourists and everyone seemed to have a great time! The drop ride at the end was so much fun! I highly recommend checking this out! The actors were great and you got to learn a little bit of history but in a fun way!

Always good fun! - Can't quite understand the negative reviews. The 'actors' always seem to give it their all, and the whole thing is just a bit of fun. What do some people expect!
Loved 'the plague' and 'Mrs Lovett' scenes in particular. Only lost a star due to Tyrant Ride closure. Well worth it.

Ride didn't work - Experience was great, however when I initially booked the tickets it said we would get two rides included. When we got there it was only the 1 ride we asked the staff what happened they had said one of the ride was not working snd it's under repairs. Gutted

Disappointingly not what it used to be - I think it was a big mistake to move the venue to the Southbank. It’s way too commercialised now and I don’t think it’s worth the money. Our tour today at 14:00 (we were let in at 13:54) was overcrowded and it just felt gimmicky and contrived. It’s a shame really as our history is quite gory, especially where punishments are concerned but this just didn’t have enough wow factor. The actors were doing ok but for us, as Londoners who visited the original venue, it was just not worth it. Thankfully it was a beautiful sunny day so we wandered past the tourists to the Southbank area instead.

Poor and unacceptable experience - Very poor experience. Turned up early but asked if we could go in before our time, told to return in half hour and that would not be a problem (which we thought was great). Duly returned as suggested and was turned away. Returned again 2mins prior to allocated entry time and was turned away again, with no place offered to wait and queue.
45 mins experience (note other reviews suggested it was 2 hours), queued continuously.
The actors appeared to want audience participation but didn’t act favourably to anyone that didn’t follow the script. Children told to be quiet and when our young friend (15 year old boy) in jest said he was pregnant, he was refused access to the Drop ride. When his father responded to say his son was obviously joking, the ride attendant was very officious and wouldn’t change his decision.
What followed was unacceptable and totally unexpected. Our group said ok we won’t go on the ride but want to see the manager (as we didn’t want to effect any one else’s experience and as we felt the attendance stance was an over-reaction), the manager was called and returned with security.
The manager took a very aggressive stance, stepping into my friends personal space. Didnt listen to my friend and just gave him a feedback slip and only provided a name of ‘Paul’, saying he didn’t need to provide anymore information as he was the only manager called Paul and if he didn’t like it ‘call the people’.
No empathy, no apology for ruining a family day out.
I should say this is the second time my family had visited the attraction and was looking forward to taking our friends, but the experience was poor and upsetting, also as with all attractions in London, they are over priced but previously everyone was given a coin for a free drink which was a lovely perk, which is no longer the case.
I certainly won’t be recommending the London Dungeon experience to any friends and family.
