  After a short journey through some of England’s most picturesque countryside, the next stop is Stow-on-the-Wold. • St Mary’s Church - Bampton (the Downton Abbey Village):

Situated in the rolling hills is the charming village of Bampton. This quaint traditional English village has recently served as the filming location for the popular period drama television series, Downton Abbey. You’ll see the home of Isobel Crawley, the Downton Cottage Hospital, the village church, as well as the settings for two fictional local pubs, The Grantham Arms and The Dog & Duck.
