A Delightful Afternoon - My late mother was a superfan of Twinings--particularly of their Darjeeling blend. In homage to her memory, I decided to join in this tasting experience at the original Twinings shop on the Strand. It did not disappoint. Our small group (three Americans and two Brits) were guided through the fascinating history of tea by our amiable host, Geordi, and taught to distinguish amongst the six major types of tea leaves. A detailed printed guide was provided for those (like me) who wanted to learn more and to take notes on points like aroma, appearance, flavor, and mouth feel. I emerged with a much better understanding and appreciation of tea--and of my mom's fascination with Twinings. I would recommend this experience to Anglophiles, foodies, and travelers who want seek a deeper understanding of British culture.

Must do in London! - Alessandra is unbelievably knowledgable. There's not a question she cannot answer about teas! I was the only one signed up for the tour, but she was just as dedicated to giving me a good experience, and it showed. She's easy to get along with and I learned so much from her!

Fellow Tea Lover - This was so fun! We learned so much about the history of tea through an organized and informational lesson. The room is really cozy and cute, and we each had a nice tasting setup with pen and paper to take notes. Alessandra is a tea queen, she was very engaging and an amazing host and instructor! It was my first time in London and I would book this tour every time I visit! Thank you! :)

Educational! - Educational class! As a novice tea drinker, this class taught me a lot about the history of teas. I enjoyed the tasting very much. Class was quite a bit larger than stated max of 5, but it didn’t seem to matter in any way.

Delicious and educational - Serena was a fantastic hostess at the Twining Tea tasting class. Not only did we have an opportunity to experience the look, feel and taste of tea, from dry leaves to a delicious cup of brewed tea, but Serena guided us through history, growing and production of tea. If you are a tea drinker, this is a delightful experience that will help you to dial up tea enjoyment to the high level. Thank you, Serena!

Twinings master class - a blend of history and tea - Serena was an excellent presenter, professional but friendly and very open to questions and discussions. It was a very small "class" (only three people), which added to the ambiance.

Lovely experience - Gosh this 2 hour workshop was a wonderful experience, there was so much history to learn and our guide Paye/Paige? (Apologise for perhaps getting the name wrong) was so professional. I honestly did not expect there was so much in to making and brewing teas, and so may variables affecting it's aroma, colour, taste and after taste ! Once in a lifetime definitely if you want to learn !
