• Westminster Abbey - The tour begins at Westminster Abbey, a renowned church known for hosting numerous royal weddings, funerals, and coronations. The rich history is palpable! Entering through the cloisters offers a chance to admire the age and grandeur of this stunning building. As we proceed into the church, you’ll notice many names; some will be instantly familiar, while others may become recognizable as your guide shares their stories.

Next, we will view one of the oldest pieces of furniture in the United Kingdom. Last used in 1953, the coronation chair awaits the next ceremony. As we pause to admire it, your guide will vividly describe the coronation ceremony, allowing you to envision the spectacle of a new monarch being crowned in this very location.

As we explore the church, we will encounter the burial sites of many royals around the High Altar. Two sisters, step-sisters, both queens with contrasting personalities, are interred here together despite their differences in life.

The Ladies Chapel showcases the pinnacle of Gothic architecture with its exquisite fan-vaulted ceiling.

Next, we will visit Poets’ Corner to find your favorite writer or poet.

• Horse Guards Parade at Whitehall - In London, traditional pageantry is always on display. The Horse Guards are nearby, proudly mounted on their horses, safeguarding this royal area. They undergo daily inspections, regardless of the weather. Time for another quick photo? Be cautious, as the horses can bite!

• St. James’s Park - Leaving the iconic buildings behind, let’s stroll through St. James’s Park. This park is home to a delightful array of plants, flowers, and birds. Ornithologists will be thrilled by the presence of black swans, white swans, pelicans, geese, and many other species. If there are children in your group, let’s take a moment to feed the birds and the ever-hungry squirrels!

• Buckingham Palace - Our next stop is Buckingham Palace, a magnificent building and royal residence. Approaching the gate, you’ll see the guards protecting Her Majesty.
