Visited from the United States - Arizona - Oliver was our guide and Marius our driver. They were witty, friendly and kept us on time moving place to place. Oliver was very knowledgeable to tell us about the history and background on places we visited. The tour was worth it for our first time in England. The weather was perfect. Would enjoy another trip again with these two. I wonder how many times Oliver has been to Stonehenge....

Jason the tour guide and... - Jason, the tour guide and Lucian, the driver, were great! They went the extra mile for the people on the tour. They were very easy to talk to.

Highly recommend!!! - Booked a last minute trip with a big group. We were greeted by Guide Bruce and the driver Zaw at the coach early morning with warmth. Guide Bruce’s humor remained unmatched during the entire tour, while his in depth knowledge of the tour sites was impressive. At the end, he gave tips to the tourists on board , which came in very handy and helpful. He would repeat instructions making sure we got it, everything was “ easy peasy lemon squeezy” as guide Bruce would repeat!! Driver Zaw is a cautious and careful driver, keeping in view the safety of all on board, while also taking care of taking the route that’ll save time during rush hours. Highly recommend golden tours with Bruce and Zaw!!!

Great way to take a day out of London. - We do a lot of tours with TripAdvisor and only leave 5 star reviews or else we don’t leave one. Great day and well planned. Got to be 1st group through Windsor Castle. Bath was really interesting and a fun stop. Stonehenge for me was the top attraction and had plenty of time for me there. Appleanna was a great tour guide. Some great fact and not too much talking in between so we could take a little nap on the bus.

- Great guide team that make the experience amazing, Apple and Zawt on bus 203 make things simple. I just wish they will allow more time on bath since is such a beautiful town to experience, probably spending less time waiting on windsor castle and use that time in bath. Other than that experience was great!

Make it a half day for Stonehenge - Every site on this tour was interesting. This tour, which promised a pub lunch, did not stop anywhere for a meal and although we got a voucher for a meal, there was no place to use it and their tour guide gave no suggestions for alternatives.. Because the trip started with Windsor Castle and we had to wait 40 minutes to get in, we lost precious time that would have been better spent had the trip started at Stonehenge as per the description. We found out that buses scheduled for this tour take off in different directions so as not to overwhelm each site with buses arriving. Our tour did not start with Stonehenge, and as a result, we had no time for lunch in the middle of the day. If you take this tour, because there’s no guarantee what order you follow, be sure to take plenty of snacks and water because there was not a satisfactory meal time or place to eat. We were interested in every spot that we visited but because Bath was the final stop we had very little time there. Our family would recommend making Stonehenge a half day tour and if you really wanted to see Windsor Castle or Bath, do that separately.

Abandoned and Ignored – Worst Travel Experience with Golden Tours - I had an incredibly disappointing and distressing experience with Golden Tours on their Stonehenge, Windsor Castle & Bath Day Tour (14 July 2025). As an international tourist from Australia, I joined the tour in good faith and paid £152.52, expecting a safe and guided day trip. Unfortunately, I was left behind at Windsor Castle after I got lost. Despite calling the number they provided for help before the planned gathering time, I received no response. I finally made it back to the meeting area 2 minutes after the tour bus left for the next stop Stonehenge. I was then told by the company to find my own way to the Stonehenge by Taxi or Train, which would have cost hundreds of pounds by Taxi or taken over 3 hours by public transport and will still be too late to meet there – completely unreasonable. I missed two-thirds of the tour, including entry tickets to Stonehenge and Bath, for which I had already paid. I requested a partial refund of £100 – which is more than fair – but they refused and have completely ignored my follow-up emails. I felt abandoned, unsupported, and treated unfairly as a foreign visitor. Golden Tours has shown zero accountability, and I cannot recommend them to anyone, especially international travellers. Choose a tour operator that prioritises customer care and is willing to support you when things go wrong.
