Argolis Region - Upon reaching the Peloponnese, the journey begins in the region of Corinth, with stops at the Corinth Canal and Ancient Corinth. The adventure continues to Argolis, home to numerous remarkable archaeological and UNESCO sites, including visits to Mycenae and Epidaurus.

Nafplio - An ideal place to unwind after a day full of exploration. Enjoy a relaxing evening in this Venetian city, taking a leisurely walk along the seafront and through the beautifully preserved medieval old town, which boasts numerous arts and craft shops.

MONEMVASIA

Monemvasia - In the afternoon, the journey leads to Monemvasia, known as ‘The Gibraltar of the East.’ Perched on a plateau 100 meters above sea level, this extraordinary walled city was developed by the Byzantines, Venetians, and Ottomans until its liberation during the Greek War of Independence in the early 19th century. Once accessible only by ship, visitors can now cross the long, narrow causeway to the rock and ascend to the impressive walled entrance, where exploration continues on foot through the well-preserved city. This enchanting place offers a living history experience with its winding labyrinthine streets, heritage buildings, vibrant bougainvillea-covered guesthouses, and stunning sea views. Accommodation is chosen in one of the best-preserved and renovated examples of the many old stone ‘Captain’s mansions.’

MYSTRAS & SPARTA

Mystras - After breakfast, the journey heads north to explore the 800-year-old ruins of the medieval city and UNESCO site of Mystras. Once the seat of Byzantine power in the region, it is filled with palaces, residences, mansions, churches, monasteries, water and drainage systems, commercial workshops, extensive streets, and fortifications. Take your time to explore this vast site before departing for nearby Sparta.

Sparta - Known for the legendary city-state of Ancient Sparta and its formidable warriors, the modern city offers a peaceful experience, with ancient ruins and a museum to explore, as well as charming lunch spots. Visitors can also request a visit to the local olive oil museum. After a fulfilling visit, the journey concludes with a return to Athens.
