Outstanding small group tour of magical Aegina - Outstanding small group day tour of Aegina! A perfect day trip from Athens for my son and I. Everything was easy from start to finish. Good communication in lead up to meeting point. Loved our awesome guide, Margarita (Rita) and our friendly driver. Even my usually impatient 14 year old was mesmerized the entire time!

Beautiful day trip - Great tour guide and beautiful scenery. Make sure you pack your swim suit. Pistachios were a nice touch at the end of the trip but the ruins were the premier part of the tour

An easy way to tour Aegina Island - This was a great way to see Aegina island and the itinerary was a nice mix of famous landmark sites to visit, pistachio tastings, and shopping opportunities. The only suggestion I have would be to allocate more time for lunch and beach section stop. Our group only had enough time to eat lunch and briefly see the beach before we had to go, but would have loved to be able to take a quick dip. If you're wondering if it's worth ordering this activity with the ferry ticket, I personally found that the convenience was well worth the few dollars I might have saved if I tried to do it separately.

"A hidden gem next to Athens" - This tour was really true to its billing "A hidden gem next to Athens". Our tour guide Rita met us at the Athens port before taking the ferry to Aegina Island. Rita is a very pleasant , friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable young lady who is studying for her PhD on a topic related to Greek history and Arts. The hour-or-so long ferry ride treated us to a spectacular view of the Aegean Sea. After landing at the port in Aegina our small group boarded a luxurious minibus for the tour of the island. Rita pointed out the various noteworthy features as they came up and explained the history and mythology behind them. The landscape itself was also very beautiful. The two main stops and attractions were the monastery of Agios Nektarios and the Temple of Aphaia. Aside from enjoying the spectacular views around these two attractions, I very much enjoyed and learned a lot from Rita's insightful explanations of the history and significance of these two iconic landmarks. We had lunch at a restaurant overlooking the scenic marina and then strolled around the town of Aegina and the beach. On our way back we saw some pistachio orchards, and stopped at a delightful family-run pistachio shop at the port of Aegina. We had ample time to stroll and enjoy the scenic beauty of the waterfront. On the ferry ride back to Athens, we were treated to the beauty of evening sunlight sparkling on the sea surface. Rita met us all after we landed back at the Athens port and made sure everyone knew how to get back to their respective places of stay. My wife and I received special treatment in this regard. Since Rita lived in the area of our hotel she accompanied us on the metro and made sure we got to our hotel alright. Honestly, she was so helpful and friendly that she felt like family to us!
