- Agios Nektarios Monastery - The Monastery of Agios (Saint) Nektarios stands as Aegina’s most significant religious site, situated 6 km from the heart of Aegina Town. Established by Bishop of Pentapolis Nektarios between 1904-1910, it was founded at the request of several nuns. Bishop Nektarios made Aegina his home in 1908, although the monastery had been operational since 1904 under his leadership while he was at Rizarios School. He resided at the monastery for 13 years and was laid to rest beneath a plane tree outside the church.

Meet your tour leader at 08:30 AM at the 5 Star Café, Gate E8, near Piraeus Metro Station by the Saronic Ferries ticket offices. Your tour leader will be holding a Tag Athens sign. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a smooth boarding process.

Excellent Small Group Tour of Aegina - What a great visit to Aegina. Margarita took such good care of us from greeting us at Piraeus to the final good bye. This 10 hour outing included 1+ hour ferry rides to and from the island. We were driven around the island in a small luxury bus by an excellent driver. Margarita gave us so much history of the island, the temple, monastery and towns plus much information about pistachios, local water and energy systems… We had free time to explore the towns and 2 hours lunch or swim in Ayios Marina. I highly recommend this all-day, small-group tour.

Great day trip from... - Great day trip from Athens, guide great explained everything and there at every step. Don’t be frightened by the stop at the pistachio shop it was great fun and very friendly!!

Margaritas was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. She was so kind. She explained all the sites very we - Margaritas was exceptional!!! She really made the trip a amazing experience. Can't wait to take another experience with her.

The tour was informative and very well layer out. - The tour guide had an abundance of information, and her enthusiasm and love for her country are evident. Very good! She was patient and ensured that the group knew exactly where to meet and when to meet. The tour guide provided great guidance as of where, for example, to go for lunch or where to go for a swim.

Excellent Aegina day trip, highly recommended! - A wonderful trip to a beautiful island which we all very much enjoyed. It was very well organized and our tour leader, Margaret, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout. We had enough time to explore on our own during the stops (although a bit more time at the Temple of Aphaia would have been good) and we particularly enjoyed sampling lots of pistachio-based treats at the end of the tour! Overall, a great day and reasonably priced too!

Perfect Day Trip to Aegina – Highly Recommend! - This small group tour to Aegina was absolutely outstanding and a perfect getaway for my husband and me. Everything was smooth and well-organized from the very beginning. Communication before the tour was clear and helpful, which made meeting up stress-free.
We absolutely loved our guide, Maria—she was knowledgeable, warm, and made the experience feel personal and fun. Our driver was also incredibly friendly and added to the relaxed vibe of the day.
Aegina itself was beautiful, and the pace of the tour was just right. It felt like a great mix of sightseeing, local culture, and downtime. Make sure to pack your swimsuit, sunscreen and towels to enjoy the beach during your free time. We came away with wonderful memories and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a special day outside the city.

Excursion not to be missed!! - I can only recommend this tour, we were a small group of 12 people, our guide was great (special mention for the gift at the end of the day) and the tours were relevant! We also very much enjoyed the swimming time and tasting of pistachios. There are few reviews on this excursion but it is a must to discover the island of Aegina!

Wonderful Experience - Our tour guide Margarita was so nice and accommodating to all our needs. The tour was very convenient and we always felt like we were in good hands. She was very knowledgeable with all the subjects she projected as well as if we had any further questions and concerns that came up during the tour. If you are going I would highly recommend her as your tour guide as well as would highly recommend this trip if you’re a newcomer wanting to see a little bit of everything Aegina has to offer and then some!!

Outstanding small group tour of magical Aegina - Outstanding small group day tour of Aegina! A perfect day trip from Athens for my son and I. Everything was easy from start to finish. Good communication in lead up to meeting point. Loved our awesome guide, Margarita (Rita) and our friendly driver. Even my usually impatient 14 year old was mesmerized the entire time!
