For those seeking a hike that combines one of three delightful options: beach, wine, or olive oil tasting, this tour is ideal! Imbros Gorge is situated south of the Lefka Ori mountains and takes approximately 3 hours to traverse. The hike begins in Imbros village. Participants will be dropped off at the entrance and picked up at the end, as the driver will not accompany them on the hike. The drive is about 2 hours each way.
Most of the hike is shaded, with a narrow trail that is easy to follow. It’s advisable to bring plenty of water and a hat. Imbros Gorge is a smaller version of the Samaria Gorge, offering breathtaking scenery perfect for nature enthusiasts and wildlife observers. It’s considered the best hike for children aged 10 and above, being half the size of the more challenging Samaria Gorge.
After exploring Imbros, there is an option to visit Frangokastello Beach or enjoy a wine or olive oil tour/tasting for an hour. Participants can choose one option. Tastings and lunch cost around 20 euros per person each and are paid separately. Please note that tastings are not available from November to March.
