Orealios Gaea - Vine Growers of Robola - Once everyone is aboard the coach, the journey continues from the outskirts of Argostoli with a 25-minute drive to the Omala Valley area. The first stop is at the Monastery of St Gerasimos, Kefalonia’s patron saint, for a 20-minute visit. The saint’s body is housed in a silver and glass casket in the smaller church, built over a cave where he once lived as a hermit.
The tour then proceeds with a delightful wine tasting at the Robola Winery next to the monastery. A 30-minute visit includes a guided tour of the factory, showcasing the wine-making process, with opportunities to taste and purchase the products. - Drogarati Cave - Departing from the Omala Valley, the next destination is the awe-inspiring Drogarati Cave. A 40-minute stay allows ample time to explore the vast underground chamber adorned with stalactites and stalagmites.
- Melissani Cave Lake - Experience a boat ride around the cavern, where sunlight illuminates the crystal-clear water, casting a stunning blue light throughout the cave. The boatman will highlight various rock features during the 60-minute visit.
- Agia Efimia - A brief drive through Karavomilos along the eastern coast leads to the charming village of Agia Efimia. The group will spend 1.5 hours here, providing time for lunch and exploration of the village.
- Myrtos Beach - After leaving Agia Efimia, the return journey begins along the island’s western coast. A brief stop for photographs offers a view of the breathtaking Myrtos Beach, followed by a leisurely 40-minute drive back to Argostoli.
- Kefalonia - The remainder of the time is spent traveling between attractions, with the friendly and informative tour guides narrating the beautiful scenery and sharing the history of each location.
