Cancer Survivors Park - Our primary tour predominantly navigates through the park system, and this is a must-see. The standout feature is the Leap of Faith Boardwalk, a sturdy and majestic wooden walkway that rises about three stories into the trees, offering an incredible view of the park below. It’s an experience not to be missed. The park itself serves as a beacon of hope for cancer survivors and patients, adorned with inspirational quotes and artwork.
-
Falls Park on the Reedy - A major attraction on nearly all tours in this region, Falls Park is renowned worldwide. Visitors have traveled from as far as Russia just to witness this area. With a stunning waterfall and extensive trails, it’s a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. It’s also a fantastic photo opportunity, and we’re happy to capture some memories for you.
-
Linky Stone Park: The Children’s Garden - Nestled alongside the Swamp Rabbit Trail is a charming, whimsical garden. It features various structures themed around classic tales like Hansel and Gretel and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It’s a touch of enchantment right by the trail.
-
Gather GVL - For those seeking culinary delights, Gather Greenville is a must-visit. This multi-vendor food court often hosts live music and offers a variety of options, including burgers, sushi, and lobster rolls. Fire pit tables provide warmth during cooler months and add a stylish touch. Environmentally conscious visitors will appreciate that much of the structure is made from repurposed shipping containers. This stop is optional.
-
Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery - Known for its wide selection of organic foods, coffee, and locally made bread, this grocery exudes rustic charm. More of a quaint cafe, it’s a local favorite and always bustling. It’s part of our standard tour along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, but we can skip it if you’d prefer to explore more of the city.
-
Camperdown Mill - Visiting this part of the city is optional, but Camperdown is conveniently located next to Falls Park, so it’s not far off the path. Once a key player in the city’s textile industry, producing vast amounts of clothing, it now offers a variety of dining and activities. Highlights include Larkins, arguably the best steakhouse with top-notch wine, and Group Therapy, which features axe throwing and a fantastic mini-golf course. There’s also a great photo spot with the Greenville Mural.
-
Fluor Field - Another optional stop for those interested in exploring more of the city, Fluor Field is home to the single-A Greenville Drive, the farm team for the Red Sox. They chose this location because Shoeless Joe Jackson hails from the area. The stadium is a miniature replica of Fenway Park, complete with a Green Monster. Baseball fans should let us know if they’d like to visit.
-
Main Street - Alternatively, you can choose to explore downtown Greenville instead of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Attractions here include:
- The historic and elegant Westin Poinsett Hotel
- The popular Mast General Store in Downtown
- Beautiful sculptures in locations like One City Plaza
- Several of the Mice on Main, inspired by the children’s book, Goodnight Moon
The city offers hundreds of restaurants, art galleries, and more to discover. If you’d prefer to explore this instead of the trail, please let us know.
