- Cancer Survivors Park - Our primary tour predominantly explores the park system, and this is a must-see. The standout feature is the Leap of Faith Boardwalk. This sturdy and majestic wooden boardwalk rises about three stories into the trees, offering an incredible view of the park below. It’s an experience not to be missed. The park itself serves as a true inspiration to cancer survivors and those affected, with motivational quotes and artwork throughout.
- Falls Park on the Reedy - A major attraction on nearly all tours in this region, Falls Park is renowned worldwide. We’ve welcomed guests from as far as Russia just to visit this area. With a stunning waterfall and extensive trails, it’s a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. It’s also a fantastic photo opportunity for any tour, and we’re happy to capture some memorable shots for you.
- Linky Stone Park: The Children’s Garden - Nestled alongside the Swamp Rabbit Trail is a charming, small garden. It features various structures themed around stories like Hansel and Gretel and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It’s a touch of magic right by the trail.
- Gather GVL - Food enthusiasts might want to stop at Gather Greenville, a multi-vendor food court that frequently hosts live music. They offer burgers, sushi, and even lobster rolls. Fire pit tables keep the area cozy during colder months and add a touch of style. For the environmentally conscious, most of the structure is made from repurposed shipping containers, which is quite impressive. This stop is optional.
- Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery - A wide selection of organic food, coffee, and locally made bread are the highlights of this grocery. More of a quaint cafe, it exudes the rustic charm you might be seeking on your tour. Always bustling, it’s a local favorite. This is part of our regular tour along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, but we can skip it if you’d prefer to explore more of the city.
- Camperdown Mill - Exploring this part of the city is optional, but Camperdown is conveniently located next to Falls Park, so it’s not a significant detour. Originally a key player in the city’s textile industry, it produced a large volume of clothing and once served as the main mill in the city. Today, it offers a variety of dining and activities. These include Larkins, arguably our finest steakhouse with some of the best wine in town. Another popular activity is Group Therapy, which features axe throwing and an amazing mini-golf course. Lastly, there’s a fantastic photo spot with the Greenville Mural.
- Fluor Field - Another optional stop if you’d like to see more of the city, Fluor Field is home to the single A Greenville Drive. They are the farm team of the Red Sox, and they chose this location because Shoeless Joe Jackson hails from the area. The stadium itself is a miniature replica of Fenway Park, complete with a Green Monster. If you’re a baseball fan, be sure to let us know if you’d like to visit.
-
Main Street - You can also opt to explore downtown Greenville instead of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, if you prefer. Attractions here include:
- The historic and beautiful Westin Poinsett Hotel
- Our most popular store in Downtown, the Mast General Store
- Stunning sculpture work in places like One City Plaza
- Several of the Mice on Main, inspired by the children’s book, Goodnight Moon
There are countless restaurants, art galleries, and more to explore in the city. If you’d like to check this out instead of the trail, please let us know.
