Excellent tour and guide. Highly recommended. - We spent two wonderful days on the Red and Green tours with Mehmet. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly, patient and clearly loved his job. We were a group of eight 67 year old ladies with different fitness levels and he accommodated us all extremely well, encouraging and helping us along the way to reach places which initially felt daunting. We hiked through the Pasabag/Monks valley and Zelve open air museum to view the fascinating fairy chimneys and saw Derwent/Imagination valley from a viewpoint. We then visited a pottery factory at Avanos where we were given a demonstration and time to admire and purchase (without any pressure) the beautiful pieces. After a lovely lunch we visited Uchisar to view the castle, then stopped to view Pigeon valley and Goreme panorama. We made a stop for purchases at a delightful factory producing various teas, coffees, Turkish delight and other sweets. Finally, although not on the itinerary, Mehmet took us to view Love valley as some in the group had missed the balloon ride aerial view. The driver also called Mehmet was excellent too and we felt very safe with him. All in all, a packed but thoroughly enjoyable day. I would definitely recommend Mehmet to my friends and family. The tour was booked via Gate of Cappadocia Travels.

Anniversary celebration - Exploring new cultures is a rewarding experience and adds a story to the picture.A knowledgeable guide such as Fahim and humble driver Mehmet can greatly enhance any tour. Sharing these moments with fellow travelers creates lasting memories. Learning about history enriches our understanding of the world. It's wonderful to connect with diverse perspectives.

Nice tour but watch out for scams in ceramic shops - A nice experience around Cappadocia with a native guide named Ilknur very knowledgeable about the history of the places. The Red tour paid € 40 per person at the Hotel (request of cash NO credit cards) in the first part (9.30-13.30) was very interesting because it allowed us to discover the scenic beauty of Turkey. Even the afternoon visit with the "Pottery demonstration" in one of the pottery workshops in Avanos seemed interesting at first...then we found out to our cost that it was a "trap for foreign tourists" (the group of Turkish tourists who were with us did not buy anything since they were probably aware of the staging)...the pottery advertised as unique pieces of art and sold at exaggeratedly high prices had nothing special compared to those exhibited in the Goreme shops or the Istanbul Bazaar...we were very disappointed!!! We expected more fairness towards us from our guide!!! Too bad!!!
