- Grand Etang National Park - The Grand Etang Forest Reserve spans elevations from 300 meters at St. Cyr to 760 meters at an unnamed peak in the Reserve’s north. It features a mix of ridges, the upper headwaters of over 10 steep-sided coastal valleys, and the upper basin of a major tributary of the Great River. The Reserve is home to four of Grenada’s tallest mountains: Southeast Mountain (712m), Mount Sinai (700m), Mount Qua Qua (713m), and the unnamed peak (760m). These mountains, all of volcanic origin from the Pliocene and Pleistocene Periods, dominate the landscape. Volcanic activity also led to the creation of Grand Etang Lake as a crater lake, one of three explosive craters in the Reserve. The slopes on these mountains and connecting ridges generally exceed 20 degrees, often surpassing 30 degrees. Grand Etang Lake drains into the tributary of the Great River.
- Seven Sisters Falls - As the name suggests, this attraction is a series of seven stunning waterfalls located in Grenada’s lush interior, not far from the renowned Grand Etang Lake. A 40-minute hike through the vibrant rainforest, large bamboos, and beautiful heliconias leads you to the first of the pristine cascades, beginning a unique adventure of discovering each equally enchanting ‘sister’ via rugged trails. Taking a dip in the cool mountain pools will refresh your body and mind as you are enveloped by nature. Remember to bring your swimsuit and appropriate footwear.
- Annandale Falls - The Annandale Waterfalls can only be described as timeless beauty. Just a 20-minute drive from the capital, this breathtaking cascade is surrounded by a lush garden of colorful blooms and tropical foliage. The waterfall stands 30 feet high, with a constant flow of cool water from the surrounding mountainous streams, cascading over a rocky outcrop into the pool below, which sparkles emerald on a sunny day. Annandale and its pool are ideal for light, relaxed swimming alone or with family. Complementing this natural beauty is the Wild Orchid Restaurant and Bar, featuring an airy open-plan style that invites fresh air and offers stunning views of the waterfall while serving delicious local cuisine and beverages. Visitors can also explore the Interpretation Center to learn more about the surrounding ecosystem and purchase souvenirs to commemorate their visit.
