Best Tequila Tours in Guadalajara - Best tour we have experienced! The tour with guide Kim was fantastic. He showed us the agave fields, explained the whole process of tequila production super competently, shared useful knowledge and spoiled us during the tastings. He is also fluent in German, English and Spanish and will be happy to answer any questions or ambiguities. We highly recommend the tour with guide Kim.

A fun day sampling tequila - What an absolutely fantastic experience. From the fields, to the distillery, to visit the town of Tequila and the stop at Cantaritos el Güero #1 made for a fantastic day. Don't be afraid to go solo, you'll undoubtedly make some friends.

Great day, except too long. - Kim was a great tour guide providing much information about agave growing, harvesting, and tequila production processes. The tastings were terrific. The stop at El Cantarito was unpleasant; the music too loud, and we’d had enough tequila already. I would have been happier to simply end the day in the lovely town of Tequila.

AVOID - unreliable, unprofessional, almost corrupt - I was SUPPOSED to go on a tour that I had booked and paid for with this company. I booked the tour in question several days in advance and was looking forward to it. The night before, after 10 PM (that is, at a late hour and less than 12 hours before my scheduled tour), I received a text message from the operator saying that I was the only one who booked and asking me if I could attend the same tour a day later. If not, he said, my tour would continue as planned, with just me. I consulted my schedule and found that I preferred to keep my original, confirmed booking. He said it was not profitable for him, that I should take pity on his business, and that he had not canceled within the 24-hour window that I believe is required because customers sometimes book late and he was interested in the money. He told me he would contact me the next morning at 7 AM. I told him that this was unacceptably early and that there was no need to be in touch again, since we were going to proceed with my original booking, as planned. The next morning, he wrote to me with "good news," saying that there was another tour the same day in which people had been booked, so I could take that. It was $10 cheaper, so I would be given that amount back in cash, he said. I then proceeded to call the operator back and was very angry, for obvious reasons. The tour that he wanted to put me on was one I specifically had not chosen, I did not want to engage in any cash transactions, and I wanted to stick to my original plan, as agreed. He refused to accommodate me. He again said I could take the tour I had paid for, but a day later. I told him I might consider it if it was for free, given my wasted time, frustration, and his irregular, unacceptable business practices. He consulted with his partner, called me back, and said I could take the tour the following day for half the price, as a compromise, and that I would need to trust him to give me back half the price in cash when I attended, but that he could not provide me with an official ticket without canceling and having me rebook. I told him I did not like any of this - it sounded like a violation of all rules and even corrupt. And I was entitled to receive the tour I had booked. He told me those were my only options and that he would not honor my booking. I demanded my refund immediately and I was absolutely furious. My vacation plans were disturbed, I had to deal with stress and inconvenience and a violation of rules. TripAdvisor should not be working with a company that does this.
