Leaving from La Fortuna, Tamarindo Beach, Flamingo Beach, and the Papagayo area, visitors will find the tropical rainforest in Tenorio Volcano National Park and the stunning turquoise blue Rio Celeste waterfall. A knowledgeable local guide will accompany the group.
During the journey, travelers can view three active volcanoes lined up in a row while passing through three distinct types of forest. There will be a brief stop to admire the 400-year-old Tree of Peace (Árbol de La Paz).
Participants can cool off in the Celeste River with a one-and-a-half-hour tubing tour down the blue river, stopping at various spots to swim and enjoy fresh local fruits. After tubing, a traditional lunch will be served, followed by a return trip along the best route for wildlife viewing, including two types of sloths, colorful frogs, monkeys, exotic birds, and more. On the way back, there will be a stop at the Souvenir Market before returning to the accommodation.

Waterfall, rainforest tour, lunch, water tubing - The whole tour was absolutely amazing! Even though I don't speak a word of Spanish, our fantastic tour guide made sure I felt right at home by accommodating my need for English. She filled our journey with fascinating facts about Costa Rica’s culture and history, making every ride to our excursions feel like an adventure! We even made delightful stops for coffee and to explore local shops, truly immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful country. Our guide was always punctual and exceptionally polite, making the experience even more enjoyable. I can't recommend this tour enough—truly a five-star experience with zero complaints!

This was a great day! Our... - This was a great day! Our guide for the day Alonso was very knowledgeable and helped guide us thru all activities. Chris was our guide for the tubing and it was spectacular! Alonso was able to point out some snakes on our hike and was very encouraging during the hike. Jess was our guide for the sanctuary and she knew all the hiding spots! We saw sloths and frogs and bats and more! She was so great with all our questions! Definitely recommend this day tour! The fresh fruit along the way was so delicious.

Amazing Trip, fabulous guide! - Michi and Gustavo could not have been more wonderful. We went to an animal sanctuary and with the tour guide staff, saw amazing animals and flora. Then we went to the Rio Celeste. Great hike and beautiful waterfall. We had a delicious meal at one of the Sodas and then traveled to a tubing trip down the river. However, it was raining way too hard at that point, so our guide pivoted and we went to a coffee and chocolate demonstration. We had a great time and I would definitely call on them again.

Alonso is a keeper! Best Celeste guide - Blue Zone Tours organized a personal day trip for my family with a local tour guide named Alonso because we chose to self drive. He was a top notch professional who really knew his stuff! His English was perfect, his personality was charming and his lives right within the community so he knew a lot of the people. We saw 3 toed sloth, howler monkeys, toucans, snakes, tried termites… so cool.
We began with a hike to the blue waterfall first to avoid crowds. Again, he knows his stuff. He also wanted to be sure the sun was shining so the water color would be more vibrant. Then off to the sloth tour where we found a hanging sleeping sloth. Last we went down the celeste river. Alonso loved our group so much he came along and helped guide and was our personal video/photographer!
If you are lucky enough to book this tour and get Alonso as a guide, you will have the best time!!!

Great Tour and Great Guide. - My family and I visited Guanacaste again, and Blue Zone Tours impressed us once again with their service.We did the Rio Celeste Combo again, and everything was wonderful, especially the blue river tubing and the blue waterfall. We didn't go to the Animal Santauary, as we did the previous visit and saw a lot of wildlife.

Amazing experience with fun, a little bit of hiking, and wildlife observation - We had a great experience with Blue Zone Tours and our guide Fabián. The tubing was very fun and the river's colours are stunning. Same for Rio Celeste. As a family we particularly appreciated the wildlife observation experience in Bijagua. You can really see very close sloths, coloured frogs, snakes and birds. Highly recommended

Amazing experience with our amazing guide Fabian! - From start to finish, this trip was amazing! Our wonderful driver safely transported us on the 1.5 hour ride, and our tour was let by our fantastic guide Fabian. Fabian was the perfect combination of knowledgeable, accommodating, and fun! Our tour started with a river float, and Fabian pointed out many different wildlife aspects along the way. Our 12 and 14 year old daughters were pretty tired from an active week, and I appreciated his frequently check ins about when we wanted to float, when we wanted to take a break, etc. This accommodating nature continued with the second leg of the trip when we hike to the Rio Celeste waterfall (after a delicious lunch that Fabian arranged at a local sode). My youngest daughter is not the most fit, and Fabian helped make things easier for her as we periodically stopped along the way to look at the amazing wildlife that Fabian thoroughly explained. It was a fantastic memory from start to finish.

This was a great... - This was a great experience. It was a 3 hour private van ride to location but it was worth it!! The walk to the waterfall was good and we saw an entire group of monkeys. There were 240 steps to go up and down right at the waterfall. The river rafting was so fun . Our ages ranged from 8-65 and we all loved it. At the animal sanctuary we saw a viber , frogs and sloths . Allen our guide and Mario our driver were awesome . Would do again!

An amazing tour - Our driver Alberto was helpful and reliable throughout the whole day trip.
Our tour guide Manfred was an absolute gem - professional, friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable and passionate about local wildlife and nature. We learned a lot of very interesting things and saw a variety of animals on the 2 hikes. The waterfall was beautiful and tubing was a lot of fun. Lunch at a local soda was delicious. Paying for the private tour was well worth it. It was an amazing day!
