Really recommend doing this experience - We (4 girls) just went on the tour today. The most fantastic experience. So much included and you learn a lot. The staff os amazing and very sweet. We had coffee (good even for people who doesn't like it normally), sugar can juice, empanadas you make yourself, cacao (you can be part of the process) and much more. Really recommend doing it. Worth every penny.

Amazing family activity! - We were pleasantly surprised by all the wonderful things we learned about in this tour, there is so much to it then coffee and cacao. Our 11 & 8 year olds really enjoyed learning about all the different fruit trees on the property and even got to taste some. Leo is obviously very knowledgeable and he is so pleasant to listen to. He and his staff made this such a great experience for our family - would definitely recommend!

A wonderful first day experience. - The cooking and food experiences were fun and well planned out. Leo had lots of interesting stories and explanations about coffee as well as the trees on his property. The walk around was very informative. This was our first day in Costa Rica and a great way to start.

Coffee grower farm tour. - What an awesome experience. We cooked some food, tasted lots of fruit in the garden! I was afraid it would be too hot but it was comfortable back in the field with all of the tall trees for shade. Joe is a great host and was a joy to hang out with for a few hours! He def went above and beyond for us to enjoy ourselves.

Well worth the trip! - It is a great stop! Lots to learn here! Very friendly staff! Leo is very knowledgeable. Lots of samples to taste. A great place to buy coffee!

coffee tour - great experience with Julio the owner! learned many new things about coffee and we even makes empanadas and drank real sugar cane after he showed the process of making it. staff was great as well thank you to all of Tio Leo we enjoyed ourselves very much!

Tio Leo plantation tour was fantastic! - This tour provided us with so much information regarding coffee, chocolate and even medicinal ideas. It started out discussing coffee beans, the history and the countries that supply coffee to the world. From there we tasted coffee, then had a small cooking lesson where we made empanadas, which we then ate 🤤. We had a nice walk through the plantation which included many fruits and bushes. We got to taste some fruit when we returned, and had juice of the star fruit. One other thing we did was have our hands and arms rubbed with ‘mud’ (I cannot recall what it actually was) but your skin felt amazing after. All in all, a wonderful afternoon for a reasonable price. Friendly staff and very clean

Book this tour! - We loved our afternoon at Tio Leo’s. Learning about and sampling the coffee and cacao was fantastic as was making empanadas & sugar cane juice. Our skin was so soft after the scrub! This was the highlight of our trip to Guanacaste, and we are grateful to the team for teaching us so much about nature. Thank you!

Great tour with fun activities and a terrific guide! - Great tour and learned a lot. Tío Leo was our tour guide and is a wealth of knowledge about coffee, chocolate and Costa Rican history. A lot of short, fun activities like making an empanada and peeling cocoa beans.

Tio Leo Worth Every Penny - Tio Leo was such a fun experience. We spent 4 hours learning about coffee, chocolate, cooking together, tasting and walking through his gardens. Leo was a great guide and exceptional historian regarding coffee and chocolate. The ladies Melissa and mama were lovely. Melissa was funny and entertaining and mama is an excellent cook.
