Declared a natural monument in 2005, the 500-meter-long stone bridge creates multiple turquoise natural pools. Enjoy the refreshing waters while soaking in the humid subtropical climate. The Q´eqchi´ Mayan people named it “Semuc Champey,” meaning “Where the river hides,” as the Cahabón River flows beneath the natural bridge and pools. Vacations are for discovery and relaxation, and this day is no exception. Don’t forget your swimsuit and camera for this extraordinary paradise!
The journey to Semuc Champey takes 2.5 hours, with breakfast provided before the tour begins.
Semuc Champey - Explore trails rich in nature, climb to the lookout for breathtaking views of the pools and lush vegetation. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pools for a relaxing and fun-filled day.
Later, the guide will lead you to the Kanba Caves, accessible with a candle. The caves offer a blend of mysticism and adventure. Remember to bring water shoes or sandals with good traction to prevent slips on the often slippery ground.
