We were able to see two... - We were able to see two cities surround the lake during the tour. Kevin was great at explaining all the different sites in the cities and the views alone are worth it. I will say the boat ride can be a bit rough so be prepared but this was a tour.

Amazing experience! Choose Brenda as a guide - Brenda was an amazing guide: attentive, funny and extremely patient. Super recommended experience in general, and Brenda in particular.

Family Friendly! - My family and I truly enjoyed this tour! The guide was very informative, and the team accommodated us perfectly from pick-up to drop-off. We loved learning about the culture of Guatemala and experiencing it firsthand. Our kids (6 and 8) especially enjoyed the hands-on activity and the boat ride. Highly recommend this tour for families—it’s both educational and fun!

Very informative and... - Very informative and informational tour. Alex the tour guide was awesome and made sure we were in the loop of all communications. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting San Juan and learning about the transformation of the island and how much the village has evolved over time. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about the different villages in Guatamala.

Unforgettable Birthday Experience!* - This tour was absolutely amazing! I was traveling solo, and the team made me feel so welcome the entire time. Our guide was fantastic—super friendly, spoke great English, and really went out of their way to make the day special. We stopped at several beautiful islands, enjoyed delicious food, and to top it all off, they even celebrated my birthday! It was such a thoughtful surprise and made the day truly unforgettable. Highly recommend this experience to anyone—solo or in a group!

No regrets and totally worth it - We started our day meeting the rest of the group after Hector picked us up from our hotel. We realized we were the only English speakers but not problem - our other guide, Alex, spoke EXCELLENT English. He made sure we were in the loop every step of the way.
The textile demonstration was simply amazing. My wife and I plan to return with our daughter and take her to see the process from cotton ball to finished product. The presenter translated herself into perfectly clear English.
We had the option of going to a vista, Mirador Kaqasiiwaan or getting coffee and sight-seeing San Juan. We chose the vista - be ready, the TucTuc takes you to the base but I heard it's 700 steps to the top and about a 500 ft elevation gain. Totally worth it! My wife didn't want to push all the way to the top so Alex made sure she had water and a comfortable and shaded spot to wait for us.
Travel by TucTuc to the next town, then by boat to Santiago for lunch and a semi-guided tour of the cathedral before returning to Panajachel by boat.
100% would recommend.

Beautify boat ride and city sites - A good way to see multiple towns around the lake for a flat rate. Lots of walking, and up hill, lunch is not included. Remember you can eat where ever you want. The textile tour is the only formal tour but it’s worth it. Very informative and I was happy to support the collective and not Target, Bezo’s, or some online chain. The guides were helpful and nice. It’s worth the money.

Awful experience - Awful experience
Towns are not towns
Infrastructure a fragile disgusting mixture of modernity and chaos !
This tour is a scam for tourists
There s nothing to see but the three artisan shops where the guide takes you
To see and buy
