Easy half day trip - Great little hike! We had a nice guide too. Small group. We got rained out at the top but makes it to the pizza station for some $35 pizza :)

Hiking an Active Volcano - This experience was amazing. I learned that the volcano erupted in 2021 and witnessed the results of such. The guide was knowledgeable and lived in the village nearby. There are options to ride horses up to and fro the base of the volcano. I would recommend this excuse for sure.

Experience was great but... - Experience was great but I paid extra for hot springs and it was NOT hot springs. They took me to a spa that had hot and cold therapy pools.. kind of disappointed

Incredible Volcano experience!! Lavas, friendly dogs, and very nice Guatemalian people - It was great tour! We came from our hotel in Guatemala City to the Volcano. There we had a guide David. He speaks English and is very friendly. He informed us about the route and Volcano. Our group in total was 8 people. It was convinient and steady climbing. We had several stopes. And then we reached the volcano, make photos, fried the marshmallow, feed the cute dogs there. It was stunning view we were able to see different clear view of volcano. And David was super nice and friendly with us. He told us thing about Guatemala, we shared some stories. It was amazing! Highly recommend!!! The timing is also as is said in your.

Pricey and Unique - The climb up the steep path is brutal. You find this out quickly and you’ll wonder why there are people with horses following. Soon you’ll be riding a horse if you’re not up for it…. $35-50US add on. It’s funny when you think about it but I bought the ride. Even my son who is in good shape rode the last ten minutes. Our Guide, Walter was excellent…. Please tip him. The pictures on Tripadvisor of molten lava etc are misleading. There is an old lava flow that you can walk on and roast marshmallows at the numerous vents. A bit pricey but unique experience.

Bad experience - I don't usually make these comments, but personally, I didn't like it. As a start, the guide didn’t explain anything – literally nothing – but only coerced us to go up on horseback. Once upstairs, he didn’t explain to us either, he just started talking to other people and after about 15 minutes he said “go around, take pictures and we’ll go downstairs.” There was no pizza or marshmallows. I really felt that I threw away my money, it is not worth the amount I paid, if it was allowed I would even request a refund for the abysmal experience. The only thing that was right was the driver who picked us up at the hotel, very friendly and professional.
