- Gudauri - Gudauri stands out as Georgia’s premier ski resort, boasting a well-developed infrastructure, the most significant altitude variation, and endless opportunities for freeride and backcountry skiing. Situated at 2000 meters on the Georgian Military Road, it offers skiers of all levels thrilling experiences in slalom, giant slalom, downhill skiing, and the renowned heli-skiing. The slopes are blanketed with snow for 4-5 months, from December to late April. The resort’s highest point is Mount Sadzele, at 3307 meters above sea level. Another favored spot is the summit of Kudebi (3007 meters), where skiing is possible from any direction, offering a full 360-degree experience. In summer, Gudauri transforms into a stunning sightseeing destination, perfect for horse-riding, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, and more, all amidst refreshing mountain air.
- Ananuri - Ananuri Castle is one of Georgia’s most picturesque sites, rich in natural beauty and historical significance. It holds a distinguished place among Georgian architectural landmarks and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2007. Located in the Aragvi Valley near the Jinvali Reservoir on the Georgian Military Road, Ananuri Castle was constructed between 1660 and 1676 by the Dukes of Aragvi. It served as their residence and has witnessed numerous battles, with visible traces of warfare. The fortress comprises upper and lower castles; the upper castle is the main structure and is well-preserved, while the lower castle is largely in ruins.
- Tbilisi - Tbilisi, the capital and largest city of Georgia, is situated on the banks of the Kura River and has a population of approximately 1.5 million. Founded in the 5th century AD by King Vakhtang I Gorgasali, it has served as the capital for various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Historically, Tbilisi was the seat of the Imperial Viceroy, overseeing both Southern and Northern Caucasus. The city has been a focal point of interest for numerous global powers throughout history. Its strategic location continues to make it a vital transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi’s rich history is mirrored in its architecture, which includes medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and modern styles. The city has long been a melting pot of diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious communities. Archaeological evidence suggests human settlement in the area as early as the 4th millennium BC.
- Mkinvartsveri - Stepantsminda, formerly known as Kazbegi, is a village in northern Georgia renowned for its trekking opportunities amidst breathtaking mountain scenery, its views of the majestic Mount Kazbek, and the stunning sight of the Holy Trinity Church silhouetted against Mount Kazbek. Kazbegi is celebrated for its picturesque location in the Greater Caucasus Mountains and serves as a hub for trekkers and mountain climbers.
