Guilin - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. They will be taken to the famous Reed Flute Cave, a 30-minute drive away.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Upon arrival, guests will explore the underground karst cave and admire the stunning formations of stalagmites and stalactites.

The Reed Flute Cave is a celebrated karst cave featuring numerous stalagmites and stalactites shaped like bamboo shoots, pillars, curtains, and flowers, creating a magnificent underground palace. Inside, visitors can discover more breathtaking sights, such as stone lions, miniature forests, pagodas, and crystal chambers, each with a romantic or intriguing story. The guide’s vivid narration, combined with the lighting, adds an air of mystery to the scene. The cave tour lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After a two-hour drive, guests will arrive at the Longji Terraces entrance to purchase tickets for the rice terraces in Ping’an Village.
The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a remarkable agricultural marvel with over 650 years of history. The most captivating part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the first to be discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields carved along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. Viewing platforms allow visitors to see the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. Guests can also experience the traditional lifestyle of the minority Zhuang people, helping in the fields, trying on their colorful ethnic costumes, and visiting their unique stilted houses.

Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, guests will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village, a 40-minute walk. The guide will lead a stroll around the village, showcasing the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses, and guests can enjoy lunch in the village.

After a brief lunch break, the terrace exploration continues to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, offering a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces below. There will be ample time for photos and enjoying the fresh air at the platform. Then, guests will head to the No.1 Viewing Platform (Nine Dragons and Five Tigers), a 30-minute walk along a flat path.

Guilin - Afterwards, guests will return to their Guilin hotel by private car around 6:00 PM, with free time to enjoy.

Guilin - Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo.

Guilin - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from the hotel around 07:45 AM and escort them to the Zhujiang pier to start the Guilin Li River cruise to Yangshuo (4-star boat with buffet lunch).

Li River - Boarding is scheduled for 9:20 AM, and the journey takes about 4 hours. With the guide’s company and interpretation, guests can immerse themselves in the stunning karst landscape of rolling hills, verdant forests, unique caves, and tranquil villages along the Li River. A buffet Chinese lunch will be served on board before reaching Yangshuo at 2:00 PM.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarkation, guests will be driven to see Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. They will climb for 15 minutes along a moderately sloped staircase to reach the top. Please inform the guide in advance if a walking stick is needed. Situated between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the best viewing platforms in Guilin to appreciate the beauty of the Li River. The breathtaking view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Yangshuo County - At the end, the guide will escort guests to their Yangshuo hotel, with free time to enjoy.
There is an optional night show in Yangshuo, ‘Impression Sanjie Liu,’ performed above and on the Li River against verdant hills. The dreamlike stage effects and original singing and dancing of national minorities have earned the performance a great reputation among visitors. The show begins at 8:00 PM and lasts for 70 minutes; ticket prices range from CNY 268 to CNY 368, depending on the seats. If interested, the guide will reserve tickets and escort guests to the site after dinner.

Yangshuo - Chongqing by train. O/N Victoria Cruise boat.

Guilin North Railway Station Parking Lot - Today, there are no activities planned, just a train ride to Chongqing in first class. The driver will take guests to the train station, no tour guide. The D1780 train from 12:58 PM to 6:18 PM may be booked, taking around 4.5 hours.

Chongqing Railway Station - Upon arrival in Chongqing, guests will be picked up on time by a local driver and transferred directly to Chongqing cruise port (Driver only, no tour guide), a 50-minute drive. Boarding the ship is from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and it departs Chongqing at 9:30 PM.

Yichang - A local driver will meet guests at the Three Gorges tourist center and transfer them to Zhangjiajie by car, a 4.5-hour drive covering 378 km.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - On this full-day tour, the guide will meet guests at 9:00 AM in the hotel lobby in Zhangjiajie city center or Wulingyuan hotel. They will visit different mountain areas such as Tianzi Mountain, where the world’s longest cable car ride takes guests to the mountain’s peak, and the unique platform-shaped Yuanjiajie Mountain.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is home to over 500 species of wildlife and vegetation, including rare monkeys, gingko trees, and thousands of colorful birds. The park’s most notable geographic features are its hundreds of towering sandstone pillars. Fans of Hollywood blockbusters will recognize the stunning landscape as the inspiration for Pandora in James Cameron’s hit movie Avatar.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie - Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area, located north of Zhangjiajie City, is a captivating tourist attraction. It is one of China’s 40 famous scenic spots and was added to the ‘World Heritage List’ in 1992.

Covering an area of 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area.

Today’s tour will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve area.

Tianzi Mountain - After purchasing the main park entrance tickets, guests will take a shuttle bus (20-minute drive) to the Tianzi Mountain cable station and walk up 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds - After a 20-minute cable car ride, guests will reach the top of Tianzi Mountain and take another shuttle bus (5-minute drive) to the Tianzi Mountain central area, offering stunning views of peaks rising one after another. It is known as ‘the Monarch of the Peak Forest.’ At the top, visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful scenes of the mountain greet visitors in different seasons. There are four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine, and the Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator - After visiting Yuanjiajie (Avatar Mountain), guests will take a shuttle (15-minute drive) to the Bailong Elevator.
Bailong Elevator is truly magnificent. Its total height is 335 meters (1,099 feet), with a running height of 326 meters (1,069 feet). Of the total height, 154 meters (505 feet) is in the mountain wells, and the remaining 172 meters (564 feet) consists of steel derrick and other components. The Elevator includes three exposed sightseeing elevators running parallel. Each elevator can carry 50 passengers at a speed of 3 m/s (accelerated to 5 m/s since 2013). If all three elevators run simultaneously, the one-way passenger capacity reaches 4,000 per hour.

Golden Whip Brook - Guests will hike for about an hour along the Golden Whip Stream, then take a shuttle to exit the park and return to the hotel.

Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is renowned for its pristine water, verdant mountains, steep cliffs, and serene valley. As a veritable “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned with an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. It is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men (water-surrounded gates).

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Next, guests will head to the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge area, but there is no time to visit the Grand Canyon.
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, also known as Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon skywalk, is the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, suspended over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. From a distance, it resembles a piece of white silk floating between the clouds and fog, hence it is also called Yuntiandu, meaning “a way of clouds to the sky.” Standing on it, if daring, guests can have a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon.

Wulingyuan District - At the end, guests will be driven back to their hotel.

Zhangjiajie. The tour ends.

Zhangjiajie - At 9:00 AM, the tour guide will meet guests at the hotel lobby and transfer them to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Park.

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park - Today, guests will spend 3-4 hours at Tianmen Mountain Park. They will use the cable car or shuttle bus to ascend the hill, depending on traffic.
Tianmen Mountain is known as the “New Legend Of Zhangjiajie.” It is the highest point (1,500m) in Zhangjiajie, where guests can walk on thrilling cliff-paths and glass walkways, enjoying a bird’s eye view of the entire city and beautiful countryside. The landscape is distinct yet equally impressive as the ZJJ National Park. Both are world-class sceneries, making it a must-visit highlight of the city. What is more unbelievable? This single mountain holds 4 World Guinness Records in its small body, and any of them will be overwhelmingly impressive to any type of human being. It promises an amazing experience like never before.

Zhangjiajie - After lunch, the guide will escort guests to the hotel/airport/train station, marking the end of the 8-day tour services.
