- Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Elephant Trunk Hill, also known as “Elephant Nose Mountain,” is a natural karst rock formation located at the confluence of the Peach Blossom River and Li River in downtown Guilin. This park is a symbol of the city and is often one of the first attractions visited by travelers exploring Guilin. For those who prefer not to walk extensively, Elephant Trunk Hill is ideal. It is the lowest point with a riverside park that offers beautiful views.
- Solitary Beauty Peak - This serene, leafy escape from the city center includes an entrance fee that covers access to a 14th-century Ming prince’s mansion, now part of Guangxi Normal University. The 152-meter peak is a challenging climb but rewards with stunning views of Guilin and its river.
- Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger described the cave as “poetic.” The expansive Reed Flute Cave is a vibrant yet impressive grotto featuring multicolored lighting and magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. The entrance was once marked by clusters of reeds used to make musical instruments.

Fantastic Tour - I would highly recommend taking this tour of Guilin. Our guide was fantastic, she was incredibly knowledgeable, fluent in English and a pleasure to spend the day with. The whole tour was very well executed, the van was really comfortable and the sights were well worth seeing. All in all, a fantastic day and I have already booked my next tour!!

3 Days in Guilin with Nelida - My family went to Guilin in July of 2018 and thought it was absolutely gorgeous! We were surprised by this hidden gem in China.
With our wonderful/knowledgeable guide Nelida we visited:
- The Reed Flute Cave
- Huangluo Yao Village
- Longsheng Rice Terraces
- Li River Cruise
- Chinese Folding Fan Workshop
Each location had its memorable moments but i can safely say that my favorite ones were the Li River cruise and the Chinese Folding Fan Workshop. The cruise had such beautiful views while the workshop allowed us to create our own fans to keep as a memento.
I would like to mention that what really made this trip a 5 stars is our guide Nelida. She was really insightful, catered to our every need, and went beyond her services.

Spectacular scenery! - We arrived in Guilin and were warmly greeted by our tour guide Frank. We had a 3-day private tour with China Highlights. Our tour was arraigned by Lilian. Both Lilian and Frank made our trip an unforgettable experience! The scenery is even better than the photos we have seen. Would highly recommend using China Highlights for visiting Guilin and other cities in China. Loved our tour guide Frank, very knowledgeable and so enthusiastic.

Full day Guilin Highlights tour - We were not disappointed with our full day tour in Guilin. Our trip to Daxu was such a great experience to actually get to visit several homes to see how they lived and to meet the people. The Reed Flute Cave was an awesome addition to the tour. We ended the day with a walk through the Elephant Hill Scenic Area. It was a great relaxing day thanks to our tour guide, Henry.

Amazing Countryside experience - We arrived in Guilin at 10pm and was greeted by a welcoming guide called Linda. Over the next 2 days we had a wonderful experience with her being shown around the rice mountains, ethnic minority groups and Li river cruise.
She was so energetic and enthusiastic and enjoyed all the natural views like us. We ate organic food, went for bikes ride and enjoyed the countryside that beautiful Guilin had to offer. Would really recommend visiting Guilin, it's breath taking and brings you back to what nature has to offer and makes you appreciate the countryside beauty spots.
