A visit to the Longsheng Rice Terraces in Guilin requires a full day. Located north of Guilin, this area is home to the Zhuang and Yao minorities, known for the long-haired women. They reside in traditional wooden houses, speak their own dialect, and practice hand farming. During the tour, the guide will share insights into their lifestyle, rice cultivation, and the history of the rice terraces.

Meeting time: The guide will meet you between 8:30 and 9:00 am (or as arranged). The drive to the rice terraces takes about 3 hours. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to interact with the Zhuang and Yao people (including the long-haired women) and observe the local architecture in Pingan Longsheng, learning about their customs. The guide will accompany you on a trek to the renowned Longji Rice Terraces viewpoint from the village, where you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views. The terraces appear like vast chains of ribbons winding from the base to the summit of the hill. It is one of China’s most picturesque natural attractions!
