Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - The journey from Guilin to the Longji Rice Terraces parking area takes approximately 2 hours. Longji Rice Terraces is divided into three main sections: Ancient Zhuang Village Rice Terraces, Ping’an Rice Terraces, and Dazhai Rice Terraces. Today, two of these areas will be explored—Ancient Zhuang Village Rice Terraces and Ping’an Rice Terraces—allowing you to experience as much of the rice terraces as possible during this day tour. The Zhuang Village Rice Terraces, known as the origin of the Longji terraced fields, is a less-visited, off-the-beaten-path destination. Ping’an Rice Terraces is famous for its stunning beauty. Along the trail, enjoy breathtaking views of rice paddies, ancient villages, bamboo groves, and passion fruit gardens as the journey continues to Ping’an Rice Terraces. Upon reaching the renowned “Seven Stars with Moon” viewing point at Ping’an, there will be a stop for photos. After admiring the magnificent scenery, a pleasant spot will be found to enjoy lunch.
