The driver will meet guests at any location in the Fenghuang area at 7:00 am. Guilin is located 400 km from Fenghuang, and the journey takes approximately 12 hours by private car, as there will be stops at Chengyang Dong Village and the Longji Rice Terraces.

Chengyang Dong Village is situated in the northern part of Sanjiang County, adjacent to Guizhou to the northwest and Hunan to the northeast. The village comprises eight smaller villages. Visitors can enjoy the Wind and Rain Bridges, Drum Towers, traditional wooden houses, rice fields, bamboo water wheels, and performances of dance and song by villagers. Additionally, guests can explore traditional Dong homes, visit a carpenter’s family, taste local cuisine, and learn about the ancient customs of the Dong people.

The Longji Rice Terraces in Longji Village are renowned for their breathtaking beauty and are considered unparalleled worldwide. These terraces are accessible from Guilin via mountain roads with stunning views. With over 700 years of history, the terraces are still used by Yao and Zhuang villagers to cultivate high-quality rice. The terraces are ingeniously constructed into the hillsides, resembling giant steps that wind around the mountains, maximizing the use of limited arable land and water resources in the mountainous region.

Itinerary:

• 7:00 am - 11:00 am: Pick up from Fenghuang hotel and transfer to Chengyang Dong Village
• 11:00 am - 2:30 pm: Visit Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge and Dong villages, and enjoy lunch
• 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Transfer to Longji Rice Terraces
