• Longji Rice Terrace Scenic Spot - Known as the ‘Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces,’ these impressive man-made agricultural wonders are situated in the county of the same name. Spanning approximately 66 square kilometers, these terraced fields are located in the southeast of Longsheng. At Longji, the terraces extend along the slope from the riverside to the mountain’s peak. The highest terraces reach 1,100 meters above sea level. These rice terraces, initially carved by hand into the hillside over 600 years ago, resemble vast chains or ribbons as they ascend from the base to the hilltop. This remarkable construction optimizes the limited arable land and water resources in the mountainous region. Visitors are guaranteed breathtaking panoramic views upon reaching the summit of these tiered mountain ridges. Lunch is provided at a local restaurant near the rice terraces.
• Longsheng Guanyunju Homestay - Part of the day is dedicated to exploring the ethnic minorities who have resided for centuries near the rice terraces. Villages inhabited by the Zhuang and Yao offer delightful walks through history, where daily life has remained unchanged for generations. Many locals work in and around the Longji Rice Terraces as their primary source of income, and the guide will share insights into the challenges these families face to sustain themselves. Before departing back to Guilin and leaving the terraces’ winding lines behind, it is highly recommended to capture some final photographs as the light reflecting in the water gives Longji a new character.

Return to Guilin is scheduled for early evening.

• Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap and sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us on this tour – even when it is cloudy, the sunrays still have an immense power.
• It is the responsibility of the customer to provide us with the correct hotel information, should pick-up and drop-off services be included in the package. Any changes in accommodation outside 24 hours will be handled accordingly: changes within 24 hours may be on request.
• In the event of no-show or change of accommodation without prior consent and confirmation from us within 24 hours may result in the applicable cancellation charges as outlined in the terms and conditions.
• Due to the altitude, it is recommendable to bring a sweater or thin jacket for any weather changes and drops in temperature.
