HA GIANG CITY – YEN MINH TOWN – DONG VAN

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - 8:30 AM: Meet your guide and easy rider as we embark on our exciting Ha Giang Loop adventure. The journey takes us to Bac Sum Pass and up to Heaven Gate, where you can marvel at the stunning views of the twin mountains and Tam Son town. We’ll have lunch in Yen Minh Town, followed by a short break before heading towards Dong Van via the scenic Chin Khoanh Pass. The entire Dong Van Karst Plateau is a significant geoheritage site in Vietnam, featuring endless rice fields, numerous limestone rocks, and breathtaking vistas. You’ll also get to experience the life of hill-tribe villages where locals work the land. We’ll visit the Hmong King’s Palace, home to the Vuong family in Sa Phin. We arrive in Dong Van in the late afternoon, enjoy a local Vietnamese dinner, and unwind with live music and karaoke after a day filled with stunning landscapes. The evening is free for you to relax before another day of adventure.

DONG VAN TOWN – MA PI LENG PASS- NHO QUE RIVER – DU GIA LOCAL VILLAGE

Ma Pi Leng Pass - After breakfast, we depart from Dong Van Town to tackle the highlight of our journey, the Ma Pi Leng Pass. Known for its steep cliffs and breathtaking views, it’s often called the “king” of Vietnam’s passes, with its highest point reaching 2,000 meters. As we take in the spectacular pass, we’ll trek the Sky Path for a closer look at the entire valley and Nho Que river. From the top, you’ll enjoy a stunning 360° panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass. The majestic mountains and rivers from the peak are truly awe-inspiring. We then drive through the villages of Meo Vac, Mau Due, and Lung Ho, where we’ll stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue through the epic mountainous terrain to Cheers Du Gia homestay, nestled amidst green rice fields. We’ll have a cozy dinner with locals and enjoy some “Happy Water.”

DU GIA – LUNG TAM VILLAGE – HA GIANG – HANOI

Du Già - On the final day of our journey, we’ll enjoy a swim at a waterfall before returning to Ha Giang city. We’ll visit Lung Tam, a village inhabited by Hmong ethnic minorities known for their skilled textile products. We’ll then pass through Quan Ba town and take in the view of Nui Doi mountain. After crossing Sky Gate, we’ll return via Bac Sum Pass and arrive in Ha Giang in the late afternoon, just in time to catch the 4:30 PM Comfort Limousine bus back to Hanoi Old Quarter. We’ll arrive in Hanoi Old Quarter around 11:30 PM.

Ha Giang province, located in northern Vietnam, is a region less frequented by tourists. It is home to a population where nearly 90% are ethnic minorities, each with their own unique traditional cultures and lifestyles. Over the past 20 years, while other provinces and cities in Vietnam have seen economic growth, Ha Giang remained largely untouched, primarily due to political circumstances and its relations with China.

The province is characterized by its hills, valleys, and villages inhabited by ethnic minority groups such as the Hmong, Tay, Dao, Nung, Lo Lo, Giay, and Pu Peo. The most remote and stunning area in Ha Giang is the Dong Van Karst Global Geopark, recognized by UNESCO as one of 77 sites of significant geological and cultural heritage. This geopark is adorned with ethereal karst formations that are nearly 400 million years old and includes two protected areas. Dong Van Karst Geopark is home to 17 ethnic minority groups.
