Viewpoint dốc Thẩm Mã (trên) - Riders will spend about an hour driving to Tham Ma Road, a significant challenge for the horses that once lived here. This road features 9 winding curves, creating a stunning view. Its steepness led many horses in Ha Giang to give up, hence the name ‘Tham Ma’ in Sino-Vietnamese, meaning ‘testing horses’.
Dinh Vua Meo - 15:00pm: Arrive at the palace of the king who ruled the mountain region in the 18th century when it was an autonomous area. Admire the remarkable architecture of the ancient Hmong people and learn about Vietnamese history, culture, and the development of the local population. This visit offers a chance to expand your knowledge and understanding of the region.
Dong Van - + 17:00pm: Arrive in Dong Van in the late afternoon, just in time for a delightful dinner after a day full of adventures. In the evening, explore the town and unwind before the next exciting day. Dong Van is also where the French established a governance system. On weekends, don’t miss the Sunday market, a cultural and trading hub for locals.
Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng - Mau Due - Ha Giang
Ma Pi Leng Pass - 9:00am: After a delicious breakfast, depart from Dong Van Town. The motorbike ride will take you to the most stunning part of the journey on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. This section, known as Ma Pi Leng Pass, is famous for its rugged rocks and breathtaking views. It is considered the most challenging pass in the northern region and is often called the “king” of passes in Vietnam. The road winds through the rocks and reaches an altitude of 2,000 meters as it crosses Ma Pi Leng Pass.
Ha Giang - + 16:00pm: After the adventurous ride, return to Ha Giang in the afternoon. Enjoy a delightful lunch at the Quiri Peninsula restaurant and bar, savoring delicious dishes. There will be ample time to catch a bus or limousine back to Hanoi. Depending on your preferences and schedule, choose between a night bus or an afternoon limousine. It all depends on your availability and plans after the tour.
