Fabulous 4 day cruise! - We were on the 4 day 3 night cruise in April 2025. Firstly, the service and staff on this cruise were outstanding!! They show a lot of care for their guests and our customer service rep Tony was fantastic. He took us on a great day hike and tour of the cave. Our butler Ryan was also wonderful, chatting with us, and remembering our preferences. He was always looking out for us and making sure we didn’t miss out on any experiences! The rooms are great, it was so spacious and comfortable, as is the rest of the boat. It was so nice to sit by the pool during sunset. I would recommend this cruise, specifically the 4 day option as you get to spend more time on Catba and see more of the beautiful nature.

Just Book It!! - The 3-days I recently enjoyed aboard Elite of the Seas were 3 of the best days of my life - “lit’rally!” The memories and friendships made on this magnificent cruise will last a lifetime! Everything was top-notch. The luxury van from Hanoi is where the fun begins - meeting and making friends with fellow passengers on “Elite” and her sister-ship, “Stellar.” The check-in process at the port was quick, seamless and relaxing (and the mojitos while waiting to embark are a “must.”). The speed boat to the big boat is exciting and the welcome you receive upon reaching Elite is unforgettable - as is the multi-course “welcome lunch.” The ship itself is stunning and its crew is sensational. Special thanks to Victor - my “Butler!” He anticipated every need and want before I ever knew I needed or wanted anything! His professionalism, kindness, care and friendship will never be forgotten. Tony, our Cruise Director, ensured we were all happily taken care of and that everything, everywhere, all the time sailed along smoothly. Also, a shout-out to another Butler, Jacky, who supported two very “discerning” fellow passengers always with a calm, professional kindness and a smile. I was fortunate to have had perfect sunny weather during my cruise but even a misty and mystical cruise in Ha Long and Lan Ha Bays would have been perfect, enjoyable and memorable aboard Elite of the Seas. Rain or shine - Elite of the Seas is a dream holiday! Just book it - you will love it - and book 2 nights if you can - everyone on my cruise who only booked one night said they wished they had booked two nights as we, sadly, waived good-bye to them after just one night.

VIP in EVERY way! The ONLY way to do Ha long bay!!! - Everything from the ferry to the ship to the specialized customer service we received the moment we stepped on the yacht was FIRST CLASS. My personal butler was nicknamed Jackie Chan (he was a younger and more handsome version). Jackie was so friendly and took care of me like a Royal Queen! There were many favorites throughout the cruise, such as the personal drone photo shoot, morning Tai Chi classes amd Cat Ba island bike tour, but my favorite mention is that I never felt neglected in the restaurant as a vegetarian! It appeared I had my own personal buffet for all meals as they wanted to ensure I felt satisfied with the vegetarian fare. It was a LOT of food and everything was excellent ..The 6, 7 and 8 course meals were all excellent! The service manager Jay (who actually works on Stellar of the seas) was there with us during the Tet Lunar New Year celebration and every day I felt like a special celebrity as he catered to our every whim and request! THIS is THE ONLY WAY to see Ha Long bay! THANK.YOU Elite of the Seas for an unforgettable experience!

An incredible experience! - An incredible experience. I have no doubt that this cruise is the best in Ha long. Everything is fantastic, starting with the hospitality and ending with the simple things, such as the small gifts we received during our stay. The food is fantastic, Vietnamese and Western food, both are incredible. The tours provided by the cruise are also great. And I can't say enough about Serena and Rachel's assistance. They made everything so much more special. They always took care of the smallest detail and made our stay perfect. Thank you very much.

Definitely "Elite of the Seas" - We were so happy with our experience on Elite of the Seas. It is very modern, beautifully appointed, and the staff is fabulous. Special thanks to Cici and Rachel. The food is flavorful and artfully prepared. They make everything feel special from the moment you board to the moment you disembark. I recommend two nights aboard as Ha Long Bay is breathtakingly beautiful and serene.

The best way to see Halong bay. - Elite of the seas was an incredible way to see Halong bay. Quite a long transfer from Hanoi but we were very quickly taken out to the boat and experienced a friendly welcome and delicious lunch. Cruise director Harry. our amazing butler Alee, tour guide Rachel and the whole crew look after our every need admirably. Certainly a little pricey but well worth the extra money for unbridled luxury on the ocean.

A very distressing cruise experience with Elite Of the Sea - This must be the worst travelling experiences we had since Covid. Instead of the promised "Top VIP luxurious" and "truly memorable cruise experience" portrayed in their website used to justify the high price charged, things went wrong right from the start. We shared a transfer limousine with customers from "Stella of the Seas", arranged to be seated right at the last row where the seats could not be reclined. The limousine (van) had seen better days and the interior has not been properly cleaned and nor well maintained. There were no visit to the Pearl farm as per the itinerary, but instead, were given a 20 minutes stop at a public rest area with filthy toilets. Our biggest disappointment came during check in when we were not assigned the room we booked, which on their website clearly showed a photo of a room with a balcony with unimpeded view. The room we were assigned instead, had a balcony with partially blocked view due to the structural design of the ship and is located right next to the opening of the kitchen's door. Using the balcony became really unpleasant as odour from fried food was present and loud noise from kitchen staff could be heard. The concrete structure in front of our balcony made it impossible to enjoy "the wonderful moments of nature in the sunrise and sunset time from the room” (as promised in their website) without going out into the balcony and right up to the concrete structure. During dinner, we were continually interrupted by one crew member after another. First by our butler, followed by the Junior Customer Relationship and finally the Cruise Manager, on matter relating to the discrepancy between our booking and assigned room and what they could do to make up for it when a room change was not possible. Whilst it may have been their good intention to make good a shortcoming, their approach has completely ruin an otherwise enjoyable/romantic dinner as they had unwittingly dug up in successive multiple times the negative emotions we had struggled to suppress. We had to reiterate to each and every one of them that if nothing could be done to resolve our room issue, we would just like to let it be and requested them to leave us alone to enjoy our dinner. Finally, to end the trip with a bang, my husband suffered a very bad food poisoning the following morning. We suspected it might be the mocktails consisted of fresh fruit juices he has consumed during lunch on the ship as both of us ate exactly the same food except for the drinks. As it became apparent the acute diarrhoea would not stop we had no choice but to seek hospital treatment, and ended up having to spend 3 hours in the hospital for tests and intravenous drips, with a hefty US$ 491 hospital bill to boot. The diagnosed "gastroenteritis and colitis of infectious origin' infection had ruined the rest of our time in Hanoi and the onward travel to Bangkok for the "Songkran celebration" festivity. With all that said, we have to commend on the exceptional care and service offered by the cruise aftercare service. Our butler - Alex was quick to noticed that my husband was unwell and had not been able to take much breakfast. The Cruise Manager was promptly informed and made arrangement for a private car to transport us back to our Hanoi hotel. Their Customer Service Manager, Harley Tran, personally came by the hotel to check on us, recommended a private hospital (with Doctor and staffs that speak english) and accompanied us the whole time whilst my husband was under treatment. He paid for our taxi back to the hotel and subsequently checked on us via call and WA. When he found out that we are leaving Hanoi the following day, he has promptly arranged for a free limousine to the airport, came by the hotel to check on us again as he could see that the ordeal had taken a toll on my husband, not to mentioned how stressed and tired I was as a carer. His care and concern extends even after we had left Hanoi. We are forever grateful for his kindness and care, and the supports he rendered when we were in distress.
