ON ARRIVAL - Hue

Hai Van Pass - The Hai Van Pass, also known as the Sea Clouds Pass, presents a breathtaking view of lush mountains and clear blue skies, overlooking Da Nang City, Tien Sa Port, Son Tra Peninsula, and the South China Sea. It traverses a spur of the Truong Son mountain range between Thua Thien-Hue Province and Da Nang City, standing at 500 meters above sea level, making it the highest pass in Vietnam.

Tomb of Tu Duc - Completed in 1867, the Tomb of Tu Duc is the most popular and impressive of the royal mausoleums, designed by Emperor Tu Duc himself. The tomb’s construction involved significant expense and forced labor, leading to a coup plot that was eventually suppressed. Tu Duc led a life of imperial luxury and indulgence, with 104 wives and numerous concubines, though he had no children.
