Royal Botanical Gardens - The Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya are located about 5.5 km west of Kandy in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. In 2016, the gardens attracted 1.2 million local and 400,000 international visitors. They are situated near the Mahaweli River and are famous for their orchid collection.
