Airport to Sigiriya / Dambulla

Dambulla Cave Temple - Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by an English-speaking driver. The journey to Sigiriya will commence, with a stop at the Dambulla Golden Cave Temple along the way.

Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. Situated in the central region of the country, it is approximately 148 km east of Colombo and 72 km north of Kandy. This temple complex is the largest and best-preserved in Sri Lanka, towering 160 meters above the plains. The surrounding area boasts over 80 documented caves.

Minneriya National Park - In the evening, guests have the option to embark on a 4x4 safari in Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Hurulu Eco National Parks to observe elephants, if they are present.

Minneriya National Park is located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It features a pristine forest with ponds and diverse wildlife. However, animal sightings are not very frequent, except during a special event known as the “gathering” in September and October, when over 300 elephants congregate at Minneriya.

Kaudulla National Park - Visiting Kaudulla Eco National Park to see elephants is an optional activity, depending on their availability.

Hurulu Eco Park - Visiting Hurulu Eco National Park to see elephants is an optional activity, depending on their availability.

Sigiriya to Kandy

Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - In the early morning, guests will visit Sigiriya Rock before the sun becomes too intense. This is the ideal time for photography and climbing to the summit. Afterward, breakfast will be served at the hotel. The journey to Kandy will then proceed, with several stops along the way. The first stop will be at a spice garden in Matale, followed by a visit to a Gem Museum and Workshop. Guests will enjoy a traditional Kandyan Cultural dance performance and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Sigiriya Rock is a magnificent and massive monolith that rises 600 feet from the lush jungle. Once a splendid royal city, it is often referred to as the “Lion Rock.” Today, it stands as one of the best-preserved and most elaborate urban sites in Asia and is sometimes called the eighth wonder of the world.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, located in Kandy, Sri Lanka, is one of the most revered and significant Buddhist temples globally. It is renowned for housing a relic believed to be a tooth of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. This sacred relic is enshrined within the temple, making it a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists worldwide.

The temple complex is not only a place of religious worship but also a stunning architectural masterpiece, showcasing intricate Kandyan architecture and surrounded by lush gardens. It plays a pivotal role in the cultural and religious life of Sri Lanka and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Royal Botanical Gardens - After breakfast, embark on a journey to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens near Kandy. The day continues with a scenic drive past Ramboda Falls, a Tea Plantation, and a Tea Factory en route to Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, guests can explore the city tour.

Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Ella - After breakfast, travel to Nanu Oya Railway Station for a train ride to Ella. The train journey offers breathtaking panoramic views. Following the train ride, guests can visit the stunning Nine Arches Bridge and hike up Little Adam’s Peak in Ella.

Ella to Tissamaharama

Tissamaharama to Mirissa

Mirissa - After breakfast, drive to Mirissa, stopping to visit the Hummanaya Blow Hole along the way. In the evening, relax and enjoy the beautiful beach in Mirissa.

Stay at Mirissa Beach

Galle Dutch Fort - In the morning, at 6:30 AM, guests can go whale watching in Mirissa. Afterward, return to the hotel and then travel to Bentota. In Bentota, visit the Sea Turtle Hatchery & Rescue Center. Later, explore the Galle Dutch Fort, located in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. The fort was initially built by the Portuguese in 1588 and was further fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, starting from 1649.

After the visits, return to Mirissa. Guests can spend leisure time at a beach resort.

Mirissa to Airport

Katunayake - Wake up in the morning to enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, it’s time to bid farewell to Sri Lanka. Guests will be transported to either Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo or Negombo for their journey back home.
