An amazing 8-day experience of a spectacular country! - An incredible experience from airport pick-up to drop-off 8-days later! From the spiritual Dambulla cave temple to the vast Polonnaruwa archeological site and the majestic Sigiriya rock fortress, our trip was jam-packed with sightseeing highlights and also fantastic family friendly Sri Lankan experiences including drinking king coconuts, riding on a bullock cart and tuk-tuk and enjoying late afternoon refreshing swims at our well-positioned, comfortable hotels. During the second part of our trip, we visited the Temple of the Tooth relic and enjoyed a wonderful walk around the Botanic Gardens in Kandy, before departing for Nuwara Eliya, attending a very interesting tea plantation private tour en-route. The '1005' train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella was nostalgic for old and exciting for young family members, with wonderful photo opportunities of the surrounding valleys, especially during the second half. Our stay in Ella surrounded by thick jungle (full of insects) was short but just long enough to recharge before the drive to Tissamaharama, the starting point of our spectacular safari where we were fortunate enough to see loads of animals in Yala National Park Block 1 (incl. a leopard and numerous elephant close-up). During our busy last day, we managed some sightseeing and a swim at Mirissa beach, a short walk around the Galle Fort and some wonderful (rugged) coastline glimpses before ending our trip back at Negombo to prepare for an early departure the following morning. On this tour, Manju became much more than just a 'driver with vehicle' as advertised! He has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to share his love and passion for everything that makes Sri Lanka so incredibly diverse and beautiful. From a broad smile every morning, an immaculately clean car, connections in each small town and his incredibly patient and professional driving skills, we experienced a very special family vacation and can highly recommend this tour to anyone considering visiting Sri Lanka!

Highly recommended:-) - During 8 days Manju was our driver, guide, fixer, translator, just man for everything. For us it was the first trip to Sri Lanka with our 7 year old daughter. From the first contact with Manju we felt in top hands and always safe. Our expectations were exceeded, and this was largely thanks to Manju's inside knowledge, his passion for his homeland and the gift of sharing this with other people. Our journey took us from Dambulla to Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Ella, Yala National Park. Mirissa and Galle. In only 7 full days, Manju was happy to show us extremely many different aspects of Sri Lanka. Sometimes it was a bit too much culture for our daughter. We would have liked to have had 2 or 3 more days to see Colombo and to be able to install a rest day in the middle, but unfortunately that was not possible from our side. We can highly recommend Manju and his organization. Clearly 5 stars from us :-) thank you very much :-)

First class tour with Manju. - From the first minute we met Manju in the airport we knew we were in good hands when he headed us in the right direction to purchase a Sri Lankan sim card. From there on it only got better with the lovely 3/4 star hotels he booked for us with nice rooms and superb views. Food in each of the hotels was also delicious. Any problems we encountered were swiftly resolved with no fuss whatsoever. Manju is such a safe and calm driver on the often manic Sri Lankan roads getting us safely to our next destination in his clean cool air conditioned car with water provided every day. Thank you Manju for looking after me whilst climbing up Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Little Adams Peak as my husband wasn't able to do them. Things got better still when I found out that Manju had managed to get tickets for the train journey from Nanu oya to Ella. This has been on our bucket list for ever so tick that one! Thank you so much for that. The 2 safaris that were arranged for us were great fun having seen a record 30 elephants on the first one but sadly didn't manage to see the elusive leopard at Yala. On the last day of our 8 day tour I asked Manju if it would be possible to visit the snake sanctuary/farm in Welligama on our way to Marrissa, this was also arranged with no problem even though it was going out of the way for Manju and he was frightened of the snakes 😂😂 If you are looking at reviews for tours in Sri Lanka look no further, Manju is your man, with a very good sense of humour too! A wonderful 8 day tour of Sri Lanka with The Visit Lanka Tours - This was a really wonderful trip organised by Manju. It made visiting Sri Lanka and seeing the sights so easy. All our accommodation & evening meals were pre-booked as were two safaris (the elephant safari, in particular, was excellent) and a cultural dance show. Manju and later Eric, as our drivers, looked after us so well. They were so kind, punctual, patient, trustworthy & reliable. We had a varied itinerary and they also suggested some additional activities, based on our interests, which we appreciated & enjoyed. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and have only the highest praise for Manju, Eric and The Visit Lanka Tours and can highly recommend the tour that they offer.

Wonderful Trip with Trustworthy Tour Guide - I was nervous of booking a tour over the Internet, but having talked to Manju (of The Visit Lanka Tours) using a video WhatsApp call, my mind was set to rest. Manju booked all our accommodation (half board), within an hour or us confirming our interest. Both Manju and Eric (our driver and guide for the second half of the tour), we're warm, friendly, informative and utterly trustworthy. It was a first rate tour, exactly as advertised, but with flexibility and a couple of extras thrown in, (like the visit to a traditional village). For this we arrived by buffalo cart followed by simple catamaran. We had lunch and tried our hand at the traditional methods used to prepare it. I have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful tour.

The Visit Lanka Tour - We had an exceptional time on our 7 days 6 nights tour with Sarath as our driver. The tour company had organised a very smooth high quality tour for us. Sarath our driver had the patience of a saint and took us to some of the most breath taking sites I’ve seen in the world. We loved every minute of the tour and am eternally grateful to Sarath for the level of care and concern he showed us.
