Yamagami Station (Chairlift) - Descent by Chairlift

It offers a different kind of enjoyment from the hike itself, allowing you to take in the landscape at a leisurely pace.
During busy periods, the descent may be on foot and take about 30 to 40 minutes.
In case of rain, it will be changed to a cable car. -

At Shinjuku Station, let your guide, a former JR Chuo Line train conductor, handle the complex station layout, tickets, Suica, and transfers.
Travel in comfort from Shinjuku via the Chuo Line Green Car (premium seating), taking in the evolving cityscape en route to Mt. Takao.
Embark on a beginner-friendly hiking trail featuring a training waterfall. Sneakers are suitable, and you’ll reach the summit in approximately 1.5 hours.
Experience the satisfaction of climbing under your own strength, with views of Mt. Fuji on clear days. Visit the historic Yakuo-in Temple, then descend via a scenic chairlift.
Conclude the day with a tattoo-friendly onsen and sauna, with towels provided, along with craft beer brewed on-site and food, before returning comfortably to Shinjuku by Green Car.
- Train, lift, and onsen fees are paid on-site. Estimated total cost: approx. ¥6,300 per person (Train fare and Green Car both ways: approx. ¥4,000 / Lift: approx. ¥500 / Onsen: approx. ¥1,800)
- If the Chuo Line is suspended, we will travel to Mt. Takao by the Keio Line instead. In that case, Chuo Line Green Car will not be used, and the estimated total extra cost will be about ¥3,300.
- Payment: credit cards and IC cards (Suica, etc.) are accepted. Some shops at Yakuo-in Temple accept cash only. If your Suica balance is low when purchasing the Green Car ticket, you may need to top it up with cash. Please bring around ¥2,000 in cash just in case.
- Onsen use is optional (if you don’t bathe, you may wait inside free of charge or enjoy food and craft beer only)
- Alcohol consumption is limited to guests aged 20 and over
- Comfortable walking shoes required (approx. 1.5-hour hike)
- Rain gear is required in case of rain, and warm clothing is required in colder seasons
- Operates in light rain / itinerary adjusted in severe weather
- During peak times, descent may be on foot (30–40 min)
- The organizer is not responsible for any illness, injury, or loss/damage of personal belongings during the tour. Due to the nature of this tour, which includes hiking, reasonable safety precautions will be taken; however, participants are responsible for managing their own health and safety. If a participant engages in disruptive behavior or is deemed unsafe to continue, the tour may be canceled or the participant may be asked to leave. No refunds will be provided in such cases.
