It features catacombs filled with numerous sarcophagi, each adorned with intricate symbols and figures. The site is often compared to a book carved in stone.
• Tzipori National Park - Located 4 km northwest of Nazareth in the Lower Galilee, this park was first mentioned during the Hasmonean era (167 B.C.E - 63 B.C.E.). It boasts a rich and diverse historical and architectural heritage, showcasing Jewish, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Arab, Crusader, and Ottoman influences. Its most notable resident was Rabbi Judah HaNasi, the redactor of the Mishna.

The Lower Galilee, a region in Israel, is a short one-hour car ride from major urban areas like Tel Aviv, but feels like a completely different world. Being the less undulating terrain of Galilee, the Lower Galilee extends from the eastern fringes of Mount Carmel, passing through the Jezreel Valley (known in Christian teachings as the Valley of Armageddon) all the way to the Sea of Galilee. Landmarks in the region include Mount Tabor, BET SHEARIM, Megiddo, TZIPPORI, and Mount Gilboa, as well as the city of Nazareth, and abundant nature and recreational offerings.
