Staff Is Top Notch - Tour Guide, Phillip, was educational and enjoyable for everyone (I think he spoke 5 different languages!!). He kept it light and fun - and let you take in the scenery. Sam, our driver, handled those mountain roads like a Champ!! Truly appreciated that. Never felt unsafe.

Hallstatt is a must see! - Hallstatt is breathtaking. The Skywalk is a must do item, but allocate 1+ hr, so try do that 1st thing so you can walk around town before the bus heads back to Salzburg. Tour gives you about 2hrs at Hallstatt, so you can walk around town/lake and also go up to the Skywalk or do a boat ride on the lake. Bus was comfortable, and lots of beautiful scenery along the ride to Hallstatt.

Hallstatt: Photographer's Dream Photo - I recommend this tour to everyone. The bus takes you directly to Hallstatt and back to Salzburg. You have one hour and a half to explore Hallstatt. In the morning, the weather was overcast and possible rain; but, the skies cleared. I managed to take a million dollar photo of Hallstatt.

Know what you are getting. Sit on left for lake views - There wasn’t anything terrible about the trip, but there are a few things you should know. 1. There is some guide info shared on the drive but not consistently, and it is quite loud. I wore noise cancelling headphones to dampen it a bit 2. You will arrive at 9:45. Nothing is open until 11 except souvenir shops. And no lunch until 11:30. This is a challenge as you need to be back on the bus at 12. 3. There is noting to do. Sure Hallstatt is pretty but it’s crowded. And thanks to getting there so early, you can’t even sit with a coffee. 4. So what can you do? Sure there is skybridge (expect a 20 min wait, have 22€ cash, and there are steps) or the bone house. You can also take a boat tour. That leaves at 10:15 and takes an hour. So it completely gobbles up the middle of your time 5. And on top of it all, everything is cash only! 6. And the food, well it wasn’t bad but keep in mind, you are hostage audience, it doesn’t have to be good or fairly priced. So foods are pricier, like schnitzel is almost 30€ a portion and a cafe melange is close to 9€ So no. I would not recommend it. You can actually take the train or a bus. If you don’t care about history. Do that. Much better deal. Snap your photo and go. Or make a proper day of it. The free 2.5 hours is just weird, especially when nothing is open for the first 1.25 hours of your trip But if you do go, sit on the left for lake views
